I do agree that going after employers is the key to this fight against illegal immigration, but I will never agree to amnesty for criminals. It sends the wrong message and is a slap in the face to every legal immigrant and every immigrant that is currently waiting in line.

As a matter of fact I am a Council President. I do not however agree with all LULAC speaks out on. I am not very well liked by those that do not like my anti-left stances. I don't really care. I made President for my ability to organize.

You seem to be in the dark. And here I thought all you dudes here were informed activist.

If Bush was a socialist he would not have passed the bills he has passed and nor would he have went to war as good socialist run from any fight so as to keep the money for the government programs. Unless of course they are killing helpless peasants that have very little or no weapons (i.e. Cuba). Also not one Socialist/Communist government has the upward moving numbers that this economy has. You should really look at the state of the union before you make closed cut and dry statements like you did. The President is a great President that has led by his belief in what is right and wrong. He has pissed everyone off and that means he is doing his job. He has not bowed the hard right nor the hard left. He is a smart man that everyone in underestimating. He and Rove like it that way.

The border needs to be secured that is no argument the employers need to be held responsible and the Guest Worker Program needs to be written into law. It stops the illegal question, makes instant tax payers and makes the employers pay what they should and brings fare competition back to the job markets. Not all 11 million will stay, that is the misunderstanding. I would be willing to bet that only 7 to 8 million will stay. If there are no jobs for them and there are not places they can get help then they will gladly catch a ride back home.

I have spoken to Mexican American Democrats. As a son, nephew, Family friend and so on. I was able to extract the thoughts of these older Mexican Americans without letting them know that I was digging for political information and the bottom line is that they too are not happy with the cost to our tax pocket. These are die hard Dems. I mean they are down right upset they are footing the bills for people they don’t even know. So in that aspect I understand and I see there is a hidden attitude. Believe me I know for a fact that these people would not come out and speak against the Democratic Party in public. I think if there was a vote that the hard left would be surprised at the outcome.

Life and politics is about compromise. As long as we are not compromising National Security I think the Guest Worker Program is doable.
