Ya....guns aren't the problem because the criminals still get them and when they don't, they just use another type of weapon. Is it more acceptable to know a person was just stabbed to death and not shot. Was it better that that poor Chinese student was beheaded and not shot? There's some sick people out there and regular people need to able to protect themselves. Around here it wouldn't have mattered if you did call the police.....it would take forever for them to respond. I don't blame them, there's just not enough to go around. If you can't protect the ctizens from the likes of these people then they have to be able to protect themselves.
