I agree Zeezil. We have plenty of real and serious reason to dislike Obama’s politics; we don’t need to focus on silly things like his mother’s marital status or age.

I don't know why this is turning into a bash Obama post. You guys make it seem okay for a 12 yr old to get pregnant. We(some of us) educate our kids about the dangers of sex because we want them to know how to best protect themselves from std's and pregnancy, if they make a bad choice and have sex.
Obama could've used better words to express his feelings, but who would argue that a 12 yr old with a baby will face a hard road -hell, some grown folks can hardly handle it, look at what's going on with Casey Anthony.
I have a feeling you guys will defend Palin to the end of the Earth, so I will ask is there anyone of you who will stop defending her if/when proof of her trying to get her ex-brother in-law fired comes out?
I won't hold my breath waiting...

If I were Sarah Palin I would totally ignore the left stream media, let them eat their hearts out with jealous contempt and just focus on her own great accomplishments and lovely family.
The liberals have no problem approving of same sex marriages as if it's normal, but if a young woman decides to have a baby and marry the father it's a problem. The problem is liberals have a mental disorder.
I hope the left keep whining, it makes everyone see them for the hypocrites they really are.<div>GOD - FAMILY - COUNTRY</div>

Let's see, Sarah's daughter is 5+ months pregnant, that means she conceived back in March. Yes I guess those Alaska winters are long, dark, cold, and lonely.

I guess preaching to the choir and voting for what she thinks should apply to the rest of Alaska's children didn't apply to her pregnant teenage daughter.
McCain's record on issues surrounding teen pregnancy and contraceptives during his more than two decades in the Senate indicates that he and Palin have similar views. Until Monday, when the subject surfaced in a deeply personal manner, teen pregnancy and sex education were not issues in the national political campaign.
Palin herself said she opposes funding sexual-education programs in Alaska.
"The explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support," she wrote in a 2006 questionnaire distributed among gubernatorial candidates.
McCain's position on contraceptives and teen pregnancy issues has been difficult to judge on the campaign trail, as he appears uncomfortable discussing such topics. Reporters asked the presumptive GOP presidential nominee in November 2007 whether he supported grants for sex education in the United States, whether such programs should include directions for using contraceptives and whether he supports President Bush's policy of promoting abstinence.
"Ahhh, I think I support the president's policy," McCain said.
Wow, they drink too. Bush sisters reincarnated?

I'm assuming some here expect a family that has values and teaches them to their children, should be perfect. They infer that the children are completely obedient, they never veer from the parents teachings or their values. That is just plain naive. PERIOD. I know conservative parents who have cried many tears because a child has CHOSEN to go AGAINST their teaching. So to assume that anyone who holds conservative values, doesn't teach their children AT HOME, or that they should be a perfect family just doesn't live in the real world. More than likely they don't keep company with conservatives or know them well at all. It is always an argument they TRY to use to beat conservatives over the head.
I suggest that you all watch Glenn Beck tonight. He says it very well.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
