Buchanan has a new book coming out
Pat Buchanan has a new book that will hit the shelves next month. It is a different look at WWII that Pat calls an "uneccessary war." Mr. Buchanan's views are often controversial, and he will certainly not dissapoint with this book. I myself have a more revisionist outlook on WWII. We were raised to believe that it was America's greatest war. The most pure and noble war ever fought. I have no doubt that the veterans of that war are among the greatest Americans who ever lived.
But my view on the war now? It was the greatest tragedy to ever strike the West since the Black Plague. Tens of millions of Europe's population vanished from the earth. Entire nations were raised to the ground. Western European contries lost their empires and their global power. Forever. Communism was victorious in WWII. Stalin swallowing up half of Europe by wars end. Was the USA victorious? Perhaps. For a while. Now we are in headlong retreat as a civilization. Europe and America are now enduring Third World invasions that threaten to engulf our civilizations. I will have to read Pat's book to decifer exactly how WWII damaged America, but I'm sure he can explain why. I don't think that ANYONE won that war. I believe that Western Civilization lost that war. Was it avoidable? We'll see, I'm sure Pat can argue that it was. I will get back to you guys when I read it.
For now, let's discuss.
