George H.W. Bush has found himself at the center of the Georgia Senate battle after the Democratic candidate used a picture of him without pemission.
Michelle Nunn, for the second time in her campaign, used a photo of the 41st president to go after her Republican opponent, David Perdue.
Bush has endorsed Perdue for the U.S. Senate seat in a closely contested race. An average of polling from Real Clear Politics shows the race to be virtually tied.
In an email to FoxNews.com, Bush's spokesman Jim McGrath made it clear that the former president never approved use of his image by Nunn.
“Michelle and her team have been clearly, repeatedly and consistently told that President Bush did not want them to use his photo as part of this campaign. Apparently, the Nunn team feels they can repeatedly disregard the former president’s wishes, which is very disappointing because it’s so disrespectful.”
Nunn's latest ad is a response to a Perdue ad that shows Nunn alongside President Obama at an Oct. 2009 event.

“Have you seen this picture? It’s the one David Perdue has used to try and attack me in this campaign. But what he doesn’t tell you is that it was taken at an event honoring President [H.W.] Bush, who I worked for as CEO of his Points of Light Foundation," Nunn said.
