Bush says feds can open mail without warrants

President Bush has "quietly claimed sweeping new powers to open Americans' mail without a judge's warrant," the New York Daily News writes this morning.

When he put his signature on a postal reform bill on Dec. 20, the newspaper notes, the president added a "signing statement" that "declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions."

The key phrase in that statement:

"The executive branch shall construe subsection 404(c) of title 39, as enacted by subsection 1010(e) of the Act, which provides for opening of an item of a class of mail otherwise sealed against inspection, in a manner consistent, to the maximum extent permissible, with the need to conduct searches in exigent circumstances, such as to protect human life and safety against hazardous materials, and the need for physical searches specifically authorized by law for foreign intelligence collection."

According to the Daily News, legal experts say the president's claim is "contrary to existing law and contradicted the bill he had just signed."

White House spokeswoman Emily Lawrimore, though, told the Daily News that "in certain circumstances -- such as with the proverbial 'ticking bomb' -- the Constitution does not require warrants for reasonable searches."

Word of Bush's action follows revelations last year about the National Security Agency's so-called warrantless eavesdropping on telephone and Internet communications.

While the president's signing statement went mostly unnoticed at first, a few bloggers and websites did make note of it just before New Year's:

But, Jorge Bush, Mexico's Chief Immigration Officer made secret deals to seal our fate and that of our children. I hope that for this utter betrayal, Bush is impeached, tried for treason. Of course the usual Bush mouthpieces and lapdogs are frantically busy hiding his secret deals and betrayals while crowing like dopes about what America will be like when the liberals take over.

It's too late. The "liberals" have taken over and did so years ago when internationalist sovereignty killing globalist socialist sell out traitors like Jorge Bush, his left-wing allies, and the RINO Republicrap Party stabbed the American people and their base in the back for money, power, and privilege. The Democrats better hurry if they want to destroy America before "conservative" George Bush does it first because in Bush's hands America as we know it is not long for the world.

I agree with Captain America, but Bush is a liberal Democrap. Kennedy and Bush are one and the same. Their motto: It's always take, take, take; or, it's always break, break, break the law; or WE are the Trash makers and WE can create cess pools for pennies on the dollar.

My plan to bust their system is as follows:
1. watch the criminals every move like a hawk,
2. never buy any product or service provided by the thieves/traitors,
3. keep repeating: I am an indigenous people and where ever I go it's mine, mine, mine. I'm here to take, take, take my country back!
