SAN DIEGO -- Authorities say four Mexican nationals rescued from an overturned boat off the coast of Tijuana have been returned to their country and four others remain hospitalized in San Diego.

The group of seven men and a pregnant woman were picked up by a Canadian sailing vessel Friday in Mexican waters and taken to Shelter Island.

U.S. Customs spokeswoman Jacqueline Dizdul says five of the men were treated for hypothermia. One also had a cut on his arm.

It has not been determined whether the rescued group was planning to cross to the United States.
