German Chancellor Angela Merkel appeared unsteady and was visibly shaking Tuesday as she greeted the new Ukrainian leader in the hot sun in Berlin, saying later that she clearly hadn’t drunk enough water.

Merkel’s whole body visibly shook and she pursed her lips as she tried to contain the situation as she stood with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in the 28-degree Celsius (82-degree Fahrenheit) heat while a military band played their national anthems outside the chancellery.

But following the anthems, Merkel seemed better, walking quickly along the red carpet with Zelenskiy into the building, pausing to greet the military band and take a salute.

About an hour later, following their meeting, Merkel told reporters at a joint news conference that they had discussed bilateral issues and the Minsk peace process during Zelenskiy’s first visit to the German capital as president.

Merkel, who turns 65 next month, smiled broadly after a reporter asked whether her shaking was cause for concern. She replied that she was fine.

Looks to me like a major PANIC ATTACK… starts to clear once she starts moving and able to mentally switch to motor skills, allowing her to regain some composure. I've had a few this bad in my life. I have empathy for her - they are horrible… difficult to watch.

I'm just spit-balling here, but thinking he said something that put Merkel into a mental tailspin right there where she had no where to hide, with all eyes on her. Unsure if he knew she would freak, but he doesn't seem too surprised either…

ITS PANIC
I've had several panic attacks this bad… One so bad it sent me to the hospital - thought it was a heart attack. She suddenly looses her shit, gets stuck in a mental/adrenaline tailspin from FEAR as well as being "TRAPPED" by formality of respect for anthem of guest in state visit, but is able to recover once able to "escape" the moment and move again in the physical world. It's brutal, and terrifying.
The shaking is due to massive dump of ADRENALINE by the brain as the FIGHT or FLIGHT lizard brain takes over and wants you to GTFO of where you are… but she was stuck there - and on camera.

WHAT DID ZELENSKY SAY TO HER in the moment prior?
I suppose we can only guess… but this is a BIG deal if she is this afraid.

The low blood sugar thing would take longer to recover from - she would have been on the ground getting help if it was that acute. Only recover after EATING something… she didn't eat anything prior to walking off and regaining her composure somewhat.
Same with dehydration, epileptic seizure… anything really physical…

If I'm right - After this kind of panic attack - she'll be exhausted and might be dehydrated. It's like running a marathon while standing still… So I'm sure she's been doped, fed, and re-hydrated - and is going to be dragging ass all day.
