Casinos closing in Tunica because of rising river..

TUNICA, MS (WLOX) -

The rising Mississippi River is causing Tunica's casinos to close. The area's nine casino are all set to close on a staggered schedule beginning Thursday.

According to the website for the Tunica Convention and Visitor's Bureau, all visitors must be off the property by 2 p.m. on the designated day. The closing schedule is based on current forecasts and may change based on weather conditions.

The Veranda and Terrace Hotels, the Harrah's Convention Center, the Bellissimo Spa, Cottonwoods Golf Course, Tunica National Golf & Tennis, and Casino Factory Shoppes are all open and will remain open for business as usual.
