Obamas National Service Corps / UK 60,000 Civilian Counter T

Whats the differance between the two... they were annouced roughly the same time... but 1 seems kinder and gentler that the other ... is any one else seeing this through rose colored glasses.. as it is we seem to follow England or them follow the US in a lot of things as far as security goes ...

I guess my point is - Is Obama's National Service Corps not what it appears to be? at least in the name

They just want people to work for free. Or they want to toss them a few peanuts. If they can give billions to a few bankers, they could pay the people for these services. And dont think I am anti-volunteer...I am not. I think volunteering is a good thing...a great thing to do. But to set up a "service corps"? I smell a rat. Right now people need jobs...pay them.
