I saw Barr on Fox last night. They said he has 2% (Nader has 4%) of the votes and hasn't started campaigning yet. I am going for Baldwin at this point unless a good Independent appears.

Barr is for amnesty so he is out. I've never heard much said about Baldwin. But judging by what I have heard, and thats nothing, Baldwin doesnt stand a chance of getting anywhere.

ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO PRAY FOR A MIRACLE. THATS WHAT I AM DOING.

I have found nothing bad on Baldwin - still looking. Would like to find out where he stands on H1b's visa's. Illegals take low skill jobs while H1b's take the high skill jobs. Being a grand dad. I am concerned for the future

I could tell Terry Anderson thinks highly of him and it will be interest to see if Terry endorses him.

Yep, and that's an automatic disqualifier for me.
So MW, Who are you rallying behind? I'd like to know.

I concure with previous sentiments on this thread. Chuck Baldwin is the way to go.

[quote]“The time for rhetoric is over. We will seal our borders and ports. I support construction of a fence to secure our borders, but a Baldwin Administration will not wait for the construction of a fence in order to seal and secure our borders. We will utilize whatever force is necessary, including regular military personnel, to effectively secure our borders immediately. It is lunacy to send troops and National Guard half way around the world to protect the borders of Iraq while leaving our own borders wide open.’

“Employers in America who knowingly hire illegal aliens are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. In plain language: any employer who consciously hires illegal aliens would go to jail. They would not pass Go; they would not collect $200; they would go straight to jail.’

“By sealing the borders and by cutting off the money supply to illegal aliens, the problem of illegal immigration would dry up. As it is, we have no idea how many potential terrorists–not to mention violent gang members such as MS-13–have snuck (and are sneaking) through our borders.’

“As President, I would enforce our visa rules. This means anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law is immediately deported. We mean business and only when it is clear that we do mean business will we begin to see respect for our immigration laws.’

“There will be no “path to citizenshipâ€

Here is a good way to solve this illegal immigration fiasco and have Amnesty as well.

    Enforce the current laws.
Secure the border with the double fence.
Fine heavily and Jail employers for hiring the illegals.
    Stop social services to illegals.
Remove any left over illegal stragglers trying to open businesses to avoid leaving and being found.

After implementing all these rules for 1 year, then we can have amnesty!

This is Amnesty I can support! LOL
Unless we get those criminals & make them pay for what they have done to our country and the lawlessness they have sponsored, we are just another Mexico ourselves!

I support Baldwin as well. Does anyone know what it will take to be included in the fall debates? The only independent to accomplish this in recent history was Ross Perot. I think it has something to do with poll numbers but am not sure what the threshold is. 5%, 10% nationally?

If it is 5% we may have a chance to get him in there. All he would have to do is contrast himself with the two liberals Obama and McAmnesty. Many Americans could be convinced to try something new.

I think its 10%, maybe even 15%. Perot made the cut in 92, but did not in 96, because he had only 9%. Its part of the fix job for the Republicrats. I hate to say it, but Baldwin has no chance of getting into the debates. One really cool thing that Larry King did in 96 was give all of the alternative parties a voice on his show. I would like to see that again, so we can hear Baldwin hit it out of the park to a national audience.

I just realised something that shows how fixed this system is.....Imagine if a very popular candidate was polling at 85-90%. I know, HIGHLY unlikely, but consider if it happened......There would BE NO debates at all. The debate committee would essentially annoint the popular candidate the presidency, because he/she was already so far ahead.

    Seems a bit unfair, eh?

Well, that is exactly what they do for the Republicrats every four years....
