[quote:360i16e6]I'd say its about a 60-40 split with Clinton receiving the majority

Others might prefer some other percentages. But I think it's settled.

I disagree. 9/11 was in the planning phase before Bush was elected President of the United States. President Clinton had several opportunities to dispatch Bin Laden before 9/11, but failed to act. I'm not saying Bush is without blame, but I don't believe he should share equal blame with Clinton. Just my opinion.
MAYBE IT WAS IN THE PLANNING STAGE BUT IT WAS CARRIED OUT ON BUSH'S WATCH. WE MISSED HIM IN AFGRANISTAN AND KNOW HE IS IN PAKISTAN AND CANNOT GO AND GET HIM. AFTER 5 YEARS WE ARE NO CLOSER TO GETTING HIM NOW. IF WE DO GET HIM, I DO NOT THING IT WILL MATTER. BUSH SAYS HE IS NOT IMPORTANT ANYMORE AND I BELIEVE HE IS RIGHT.

Clinton and Bush may both be to blame for not taking the threat of al Qaeda seriously enough, and they may both be to blame for bin Laden's still being at large, but make no mistake about who is to blame for 9/11. That crime was committed by radical Islamists. Blaming the authorities for not preventing the attacks is like blaming the police for not being there to stop a mugger for whom a warrant already existed.

We already rely on the authorities far too greatly. The flipside of blaming the authorities is the dependency upon them that leads us to blame them for everything that goes wrong. The Founding Fathers would be appalled that the federal government has so much power that we now we even blame it for the weather.

Clinton had Bin Laden a long time ago. He should have gotten him then and there. Why didn't he? BESIDES.... Clinton made wet-foot-dry-foot policy.... I'm sorry but I don't see any people coming here easily from the former Soviet Union as Cubans do. My friend's came here from Russia legally and forgot one signature and got arrested for a week. This is still when The soviet union was alive.
