When will rising gas prices stop?

These rising gas prices are crunching me! Thankfully I bought a Honda two years ago which gets better mileage than many vehicles. But the big oil companies are STILL raking in record profits and feeding us rubbish as to why the prices are so high rather than doing something to lower them.

    I am SICK of this!

They will drop when you stop driving...

No, really the reason is that light sweet crude peaked about two years ago. We now have to refine the heavy and sour crude. It is harder to refine this stuff and causes loss in output due to the sulfur (hard on equipment) and heavy (you have to crack it, more energy needed). Most refineries are not equipt to deal with this type of oil. To refine this type of oil takes investments of years and hundreds of millions... that is where your money is going.

Profits? Profit margins are much higher in financials and pharmaceuticals. If your going to complain about anything, complain about your mortgage or the cost of your drugs.
