Black Lives Matter decries Dallas shooting

July 8 (Reuters) - The Black Lives Matter movement advocates dignity, not murder, the group said on Friday in response to the shooting in Dallas that killed five police officers and wounded seven more.

"#BlackLivesMatter advocates dignity, justice and freedom. Not murder," @Blklivesmatter - the main Twitter account associated with the movement - tweeted.

Dallas Police Chief David Brown told reporters earlier on Friday that the gunman cited the anti-police-violence movement, but also said he was not part of a larger organization.

A "Black Lives Matter" activist has celebrated the Dallas massacre of five cops on Twitter, following up on her calls a year ago for the lynching of white people and cops.

In late August 2015 that members of #BlackLivesMatter, #FY911and #FukYoFlag movements were engaging in inciting communication. As reported, they encouraged others on a radio show to “turn the tide” and kill white people and cops to send a message about the killing of black people in America.

One of the F***YoFlag organizers was “Sunshine, ” who hosted a radio blog show from Texas called, “Sunshine’s F***ing Opinion Radio Show.” A snapshot of her #FYF911@LOLatWhiteFear Twitter page appeared in the Breitbart Texas article and shows that she was urging supporters to “Call now!! #fyf911 tonight we continue to dismantle the illustion of white…” [SIC]

Shortly after Dallas killings, Breitbart contributor Producer Kenny (@ProducerKen) tweeted out the article of Sunshine calling for the deaths of police officers and Sunshine responded by saying "thank you Micah," in reference to Dallas massacre suspect Micah Xavier Johnson.

The leadership had plenty of opportunity to tone down their ranks and supporters before this tragedy.
