College’s Muslim Students Demands ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ for ‘Islamophobic speech"

College’s Muslim Student Association Demands ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ Against ‘Islamophobic Speech and Actions’

The Muslim Student Association at San Diego State University recently issued a list of demands directed at the administration, students and political leaders in an effort to combat Islamophobia on campus.

The demands — which include “a zero tolerance policy explicitly for Islamophobic speech and actions” and mandatory “bystander training” for faculty, staff and students — were posted on the group’s Facebook page after a female Muslim student was allegedly attacked by a white man in a campus parking lot on November 19, about a week after the terrorist attacks that killed 130 in Paris.

A campus police report described the aggressor, who hasn’t been caught, as a white man in his 20s who grabbed the female student’s hijab and made racist comments to her, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. The female student has not been identified publicly, but Hanif Mohebi — executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations-San Diego — said he met with the student and offered comments on her behalf.

“The attacker came at the student from behind and choked her with the hajib, or headscarf,” Mohebi told the Union-Tribune. “He told her, ‘Get out of this country.’ That she was a terrorist and that ‘you people bombed Paris.’”
Several comments on the article suggest that the attack might have been a hoax. But less than a week after the alleged attack, the Muslim Student Association staged an anti-Islamophobia rally that gained the support of hundreds of students. It was at the rally that the Muslim Student Association presented its list of demands:

The document demands that local, state and federal political leaders “cease their fear mongering anti-Islamic rhetoric” and “recognize that the dehumanization of refugees and scapegoating of the Muslim faith enables an environment for attacks like this to occur.”The MSA also demanded that students who witnessed the November 19 attack “step forward and help aid in the investigation.

The university has yet to provide a formal response to the demands, though members of the administration have seen the list and are “meeting internally and with the students to discuss their concerns,” Beth Chee, an SDSU representative, told The College Fix in an email.University president Elliot Hirsham issued a statement on the attack:

“We unequivocally condemn all forms of bigotry and any efforts to intimidate, harm or demean any members of our community.”
In a twist, Jewish students have accused the MSA of rejecting help from Students Supporting Israel.Another campus group — Students for Justice in Palestine, which helped organize the MSA rally — allegedly rejected the signature of Students Supporting Israel on the MSA’s list of demands.

“When asked why SSI was excluded from the statement, the response was simple and damning: ‘It didn’t serve the interests of the community,’” Anthony Berteaux, vice president of public relations for SSI, wrote in The Jerusalem Post.

“A rally that was supposed to serve as a unified solidarity march against hate became politicized and divided.”
“Out of the over 30 organizations that had signed the document, SSI was the only organization to be excluded from the statement,” Berteaux reported.SDSU has experienced problems with anti-Israel rhetoric.

In 2013, the professor of an Arabic language course eliminated the country of Israel on a map, replacing it with “Palestine.” After a pro-Israel student group called Stand With Us demanded action on the part of the university, SDSU released a statement calling the map “inaccurate” and “unacceptable.”

No, Muslim Students, your religion is the problem, not San Diego State University. You know why Americans of so many different religions get along with each other? No one knows what our religion is. That's right. I went to college for 4 years and no one knew what my religion is and I could have cared less what someone else's was.

When you make your religion part of your attire, part of the your speech, part of your student activities, you draw attention to yourselves and yes with Americans who have been embroiled in 2 Muslimism Wars for over a decade, spent trillions of dollars dealing with it, and are now embroiled in a third, and possibly a fourth, fifth and sixth, we don't give a hoot about your religion. All we know is that it causes death, violence, destruction, discrimination, barbarism, and other such problems that we have no interest in.

We don't want to fight your wars for you, we don't want to pay for them, we don't want to have our news tied up with you and your stupid repugnant religion, which isn't a religion at all, it's a barbaric, authoritarian, discriminatory politically driven lifestyle that you want to parade through our streets, stores, work places and colleges.

Your problems are of your own making. Either live with them, change your stupid evil religion, defect to another, or leave the United States. Whatever solution you find to your religion problem, it better not ever involve another American.

We're done with your hateful, silly, backward, stupid, evil "religion", which isn't a religion at all, it's a political ideology INCONSISTENT with the principles and foundations of the United States. I mean dead Muslims want to rape little virgin girls in Heaven? Oh give me a break, you disgusting perverts.

Paul Ryan, Lindsey Graham, David Jolly and a host of other ignorant politicians respect this crap, but the American People are done with your stupid nonsense, evil perversions and death and destruction.

Sorta makes sense to me. No one should be afraid of Islam on that college campus. Now, on with the Islamophagic speech.

The planned muslim thing IS global as are their demands - and they get their way too. Story is from Australia.....

Muslim kids walk out as national anthem sung

'I find these schools that are allowing this to happen disgusting'

    Published: 10/27/2015 Douglas Ernst

The Australian national anthem encourages citizens to “rejoice,” but school officials now accommodate Muslim students who would rather mourn.

Parents of students at Cranbourne Carlisle Primary public school were furious when principal Cheryl Irving allowed Muslim students to temporarily exit a school assembly last week during the national anthem. Oct. 13 through Nov. 12 is considered a mourning period over the death of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Muhammad.

“Muharram is a Shi’a cultural observation marking the death of Imam Hussein,” Irving said in a statement released Monday, the Herald Sun reported.

“Two children got up and said, ‘Welcome to our assembly.’ With that, a teacher came forward and said all those who feel it’s against their culture may leave the room. With that, about 30 or 40 children got up and left the room. We sang the national anthem and they all came back in,” Lorraine McCurdy, who has two grandchildren at the school, told local radio station 3AW on Monday. “I saw red. I’m Australian and I felt, ‘You don’t walk out on my national anthem, that’s showing respect to my country.’”

Independent Senator for Tasmania Jacqui Lambie concurred, telling the station, “I find these schools that are allowing this to happen disgusting. I don’t think religion needs to be brought into the national anthem. We should all be proud to be Australians and proud to sing the national anthem.”

Australia’s Department of Education released a statement in support of the school’s decision on Monday.

“The Department supports our schools to be inclusive for all students, this includes understanding or respecting religious cultural observances,” the statement read. “From 2016, the new Victorian curriculum will include new subjects such as respectful relationships, world views and ethical understanding, helping to build more inclusive schools and communities.”
