Accused movie theater shooter James Holmes makes his first court appearance.

The Joker is playing the amnesia card.

Accused mass murderer James Holmes told jailhouse workers that he remains stumped about what landed him in a Colorado lockup, a jail staffer told the Daily News.

“He claims he doesn’t know why he’s in jail,” the worker said Thursday.

“He asked, ‘Why am I here?’”

Holmes, 24, who is charged with shooting a dozen people to death and wounding 58 more at a screening of the new Batman movie, was also complaining of a stomach ache caused by lousy jail food after his sixth day at the Arapahoe County Detention Center, the worker said.

“He’s claiming his belly hurts him,” the worker said. “He complained once that he didn’t like the food . . . The guy killed 12 people, and he’s upset that he’s not getting a four-star meal?”

The former California honor student picks at his meals on some days, and doesn’t eat at all on others. A typical breakfast would include sausage and grits, while lunch could mean a ham sandwich.

Holmes was arrested in the parking lot of the Century 16 multiplex in Aurora, Colo., within minutes of his bloody rampage early Friday through a showing of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Holmes surrendered without incident to police.

The suspect remains under 23-hour lockdown, leaving his cell just once a day. Authorities fear that other inmates could target Holmes and have him wear a bulletproof vest during his daily walk.

The jail worker said most folks inside the county lockup consider Holmes’ memory loss a ruse.

“He needs to save his act for the jury because no one here is buying it,” the worker said. “Everyone is convinced he is faking it.”

Published reports indicated that Holmes mailed a notebook filled with gruesome sketches and details of his plans for the attack in the crowded theater.

The notebook was in a package sent to a professor at the University of Colorado, where Holmes was a Ph.D. candidate until dropping out of school just prior to the killings.

The FBI snapped up the evidence after school officials notified them that the package was at the university.

In a statement, the university denied a report that the package sat in its mailroom for a week before the shooting spree.

The package was delivered by the U.S. Postal Service on the Monday after the shootings, and forced the evacuation of a campus building for 2 1/2 hours, the statement said.

The notebook and the rest of the contents were turned over to investigators within hours of the package’s discovery, the university said.

Conspiracy Theories Aren’t Always False, Just Unpopular

Mainstream media attacked alternative news sites for raising questions about the timing of James Holmes’ alleged actions and the erratic nature of his behavior.

In the wake of the tragic events that occurred in Aurora, Colo., last week, the familiar media trend of mindless chatter, finger-pointing and political polarization has emerged. Americans following the case continue to get a slow trickle of facts about the alleged shooter, James Holmes, and his past, along with continual analysis about what his mindset may have been from criminology and psychology experts.

There are people focusing on the smaller, more sociably acceptable reasoning as to why Holmes is alleged to have carried out the horrific slaughter.

The narrative plays something like: Holmes was a loner whose mother said had a socially reclusive history.

Potentially a lonely sex fiend, the man frequented prostitutes in his locale. A lifetime “nerd,” he had faced considerable stress of late as his grades failed in his Ph.D. studies and he removed himself from the program. Holmes spent much of his time locked in his apartment — which he faced losing because he was no longer a student — with lights low playing video games and frequenting online message boards and sex sites. His neighbors didn’t know very much about him.

His online footprint is miniscule, his criminal record nonexistent; there was “no reason for him to be on anyone’s radar.” As it continues, the narrative will likely paint a portrait of a mentally disturbed man who became infatuated by the infamy of his favorite evil movie characters, driven to leave his own nasty mark on society by isolation, mental illness and sadism nurtured by what he deems societal failure to accept him and others like him.

Indeed, the media are already reporting on how the man behaves in his jail cell as he is “trying very hard to act crazy.” He refuses to cooperate with investigators, according to some accounts.
The political consequences of Holmes’ alleged actions are yet to be known, but the rhetoric from lawmakers and opinion shapers has already heated up. It began with media attempting to unsuccessfully link Holmes to political movements like the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street, and continued successfully into a conversation about gun rights and Internet privacy.

At a news conference on Monday, Attorney General Eric Holder, whose Justice Department is complicit in arming Mexican drug cartels, said that the government must now think about the way in which the shooter acquired his AR-15, two Glock handguns, Remington shotgun, body armor and thousands of rounds.

“We have tried to come up with a better system with our instant background checks so that we have the ability to make sure that people who have emotional problems, people who have felony records, other people cannot get access to these kinds of weapons,” Holder said.

New York Nanny Mayor Michael Bloomberg suggested that police officers throughout the country should go on strike until the 2^nd Amendment is suspended.

Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) — whose husband was killed in a shooting in 1993 — offered with regard to high-capacity magazines, “It befuddles me to think those things should be sold to the general public.”

The fact that Holmes used the Internet to purchase some of the supplies he allegedly used to carry out his crime has also led some lawmakers to suggest that more online spying by government agencies would catch people like him before they act.

There are factions that stand to reap political rewards if Americans accept the mainstream story and subsequent national conversation surrounding the events in Aurora. And for this reason, a small minority of Americans have risked being deemed conspiracy theorists by their peers because they are considering alternatives to the “official” story of events.

Gun control is an issue of perpetual debate in the United States. The most recent threat to the 2^nd Amendment has come in the form of a U.N. small arms treaty drafted to fight “terror” and rebellion by taking guns out of the hands of “non-state actors” — read, private citizens — of signing countries. The treaty has been met with support by some U.S. officials, including the President, but has also received harsh criticism from U.S. gun owners and the National Rifle Association. While, if enacted, the treaty would not instantly ban firearms in the United States, it would create difficulties for gun owners such as making it more difficult for hunters and sportsmen to travel internationally, possibly creating a gun registration in the United States and even banning certain guns. The treaty and NRA’s fierce opposition were making headlines in the days leading up to the Aurora events.

And remember how Holmes wasn’t on “anyone’s radar?” For months, the debate about online privacy from government spying has raged as Congress offers up one after another acronym-laden bill to give the Federal government unchecked access to online information. Each one has been met with fierce public opposition. But now, Americans are offered this from a Wall Street Journal columnist:

The Colorado shooter Mr. Holmes dropped out of school via email. He tried to join a shooting range with phone calls and emails going back and forth. He bought weapons and bomb-making equipment. He placed orders at various websites for a large quantity of ammunition. Aside from privacy considerations, is there anything in principle to stop government computers, assuming they have access to the data, from algorithmically detecting the patterns of a mass shooting in the planning stages?

The columnist goes on to suggest that now is the perfect time for Americans to willingly relinquish any expectation of protection under the 4^th Amendment, to protect the country from others like Holmes.

Mainstream media attacked Natural News and other alternative news sites for simply raising questions about the timing of Holmes’ alleged actions and the erratic nature of his behavior.


In the Natural News piece, the author posits that Holmes’ attack was a false flag, pointing out:

• Holmes could have been hand selected by silent actors to carry out his actions because of his educational involvement in mind-altering neuroscience.
• He was equipped with tactical knowledge and bomb-making expertise and supplies that are difficult to obtain and use correctly. He is alleged to have funded his arsenal in part with the help of a Federal education grant of $26,000, the details of which are sketchy.
• He has no background and information about his past is sparse at best.

Of course, mainstream thinkers lambast anyone who would dare to suggest that such a tragedy would be foisted upon the American public by shady operatives of some clandestine force for political manipulation. This is the United States; our government is a benevolent one with only the best interests of all involved in mind, right?

History tells a different story.

The CIA has a long and well-documented relationship with experimentation in mind control for the purpose of developing the use of unsuspecting people as weapons. From the agency’s creation in 1947 until Congressional scrutiny befell the agency in 1976 with the help of Senator Frank Church, its experiments went unnoticed.

The Church hearings brought to light the agency’s involvement in years of psychological manipulation of test subjects using drugs, hypnosis and barbaric medical procedures. It was discovered that the CIA had developed the ability to control the minds of those it had manipulated using signals, often making them carry out sexual or deviant acts that would otherwise be out of character.

It is also no secret that Federal agencies stage incidents on a regular basis. In recent years, to perpetuate the threat of terror, the FBI has coerced individuals into going along with outlandish terror plots and provided weapons and supplies to them. It has been estimated that 14 of the 22 major terror attack threats on American soil since 9/11 were actually FBI sting operations.

With such past evidence, it is a danger to cast aside any alternate explanation of Holmes’ actions as too outlandish, fearmongering or conspiracy. And such an easily politicized tragedy should — and would in a responsible society — be vetted for means, motive and opportunity from a variety of perspectives.

Colorado Batman shooting: judge prevents release of James Holmes school records

A judge has issued a rare order preventing the University of Colorado Denver from releasing records about James Holmes, the suspected Batman cinema shooter.

Much speculation surrounding the 24-year-old's possible motive in gunning down 12 people and wounding 58 more at a screening of Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises," has focused on his time studying neuroscience at the school.

School documents are usually available under the Colorado Open Records Act, but District Court Judge William Silvester cited a provision that bars the public from viewing open records "prohibited by ... the order of any court."

His order was signed on Monday but released Thursday.

University officials said Holmes was in the process of withdrawing from the graduate program, but had not completed the necessary paperwork.

At the request of Holmes's attorneys, Silvester also reinforced an earlier order barring officials of the district attorney's office and law enforcement officials from releasing information about the case before the trial.

Holmes is being held in solitary confinement at Arapahoe County Detention Centre. He could face the death penalty if convicted, though Colorado has only executed one person since capital punishment was reinstated in 1976.

(NaturalNews) Citizen journalists are outdistancing everybody on the Batman murders. I’m not even sure I have their names matched up correctly to their reports, so for now I’m not publishing the names, but I’ll give you the links to their videos and commentary.

Here’s what I’m inferring from their work. First, the heavy blood trail outside the Aurora theater, in the back parking lot, has been wrongly attributed to a neck wound suffered by one of the victims, Allie Young.

When viewed in the hospital, her scar doesn’t look serious enough to account for a massive blood loss, and the wound isn’t even dressed. Why would anyone lie about this?

Because the blood in the parking lot may have come from a girl who was killed or abducted by one of the killers.

Knowingly or unknowingly, Obama contributed to the cover story about Allie Young in his incorrect description of her ordeal and wound.

There was a second gas mask found lying outside the theater at the back of the building. This would not have been Holmes’ mask. It would have belonged to a second killer.

I’m not saying the meaning of these clues I’ve just listed is airtight and absolutely final. I’m saying they send the case in entirely new directions.

They definitely add fuel to the conclusion that Aurora Police Chief, Daniel Oates was wrong when he issued the familiar mantra that Homes acted alone.

On what basis could Oates have made that claim?

Was he intentionally lying?

Was he trying to save his reputation, and hiding the fact that at least one other killer was running loose, uncaptured by his men?

Oates, an old New York street cop, had risen through the ranks and, as Aurora police chief, presided over a 30% reduction in the crime rate—until the Batman murders.

These clues—the blood trail, the neck wound, the second gas mask—any police investigator should have run with them. The absence of a serious probe indicates we are looking at a cover-up.

We still have the matter of how James Holmes gained entrance to the theater. There is the side door, the fire exit. Did he kick it in from the outside, as KUSA-TV reported?

Did he, as Bloomberg claims the police say, buy a ticket, watch the movie, stand, as if he was taking a phone call, and walk out, propping open the side exit as he left, to return later with armor and weapons?

Or, as eyewitness Corbin Dates told CNN, did “someone” in the theater take a phone call, disappear in the direction of the side exit, after which (15-20 minutes? an hour?) the shooter, in full gear, came into the theater from that direction?

The first description—kicking in the exit door—is highly unlikely, since exit doors generally open out from the inside, are heavy, and are locked from the outside.

If Holmes propped open the side door, left, and came back later, other customers in the theater and theater employees might have seen light coming in from the outside. Did they? Someone also might have walked over and shut the door.

All this needs to be nailed down.

Then we have the packages (2) in the mailroom of the U. of Colorado, Anschutz campus.

Press reports indicate a professor of psychiatry at the school called police because there was a package (with no indication of the sender) in the mailroom, addressed to him.

The professor suspected it might have been sent by Holmes. This turned out to be wrong.

That package had no bearing on the case. But in a search of the mailroom, ANOTHER package was found, which had been sent by Holmes to the professor.

It had been sitting there as long as a week before its discovery on July 23rd. It contained a notebook, and the notebook contained Holmes’ descriptions of how he was going to kill people.

This one is hard to believe. The professor believes one package was sent by Holmes.

Why?

BUT the police happen to find another package that was. Was it planted (and forged) to build a stronger case against Holmes?

I have new information about the availability of Holmes’ medical records.

This would pertain to a criminal trial.

It is likely Holmes’ lawyer could subpoena any medical/psychiatric records, in order to establish the state of mind of her client, and these records of course would include what drugs were prescribed.

Once that is known, a case could be mounted based on the drugs’ propensity to cause violent behavior, including homicide.

The prosecution could also subpoena these records if Holmes entered an insanity plea.

My guess is that Torrence Brown’s lawsuit against Holmes’ doctors would come after a criminal trial (if there is one), at which time the medical/psychiatric records would have already been unsealed and would be available.

Remember, there is still no known witness-ID of Holmes in the theater.

There is only the police claim that they found him, calm and confessing, next to his car, after the shooting—or by other accounts, inside his car.

I’ve seen raw cell phone video footage of people outside the theater on the night of the shooting, but no footage from inside the theater.

Someone inside had to be recording a piece of what was going on. We have to ask ourselves: where is that footage? Has it been confiscated?

They go all the way down to the end of the sidewalk at the end of the building, hundreds of feet past his car, to where the gas mask was found and then stop abruptly.

James Holmes was found in or beside his car (Police reports vary on whether he was inside or beside it, but all agree he was AT his car, either inside or beside it). Do you see ANY bloody footprints leading BACK to the car?

Do you see any blood around the car?

How did he manage to shed his gear outside the theater door then run all the way to the end of the building to drop his gas mask and then run all of the way back to be there waiting for the police in the 90 seconds it took the cops to arrive?

And more importantly, WHY would he do that?

And if he did do that, why is there no trail of bloody footprints back to his car? Did he carry a bucket of soapy water with him as he ran down the sidewalk so he could clean up? Ignoring the obvious fact that he would not have had time to clean up, one would still have to ask where is the stuff he cleaned up with?

That sidewalk ends at a road. It seems likely to me that someone ELSE did the shooting and ran down the sidewalk and was picked up by yet a third person in a car.

1. There are no bloody shoeprints, which one would expect to find if the individual had just walked through a blood soaked crime scene. In other words whoever laid down this blood trail was not tracking the blood of his victims, but probably his own blood.

2. The stride is about six feet from point to point, which would strongly suggest that the person was running hard. In this regard, the bloody impact marks are all in a line. In other words the tracks we see are not from both feet. Just one foot… This would suggest that this person was wounded in one leg or one foot.

3. The blood spray is a V pattern and one blood line (the left) is longer than the other. This would suggest that this person suffered from a through and through gunshot wound, with the exit wound being larger than the entrance wound. A .40 caliber Glock Pistol?

This evidence strongly suggests that the killer was wounded when he ran out of the theater. He then dumped his weapons at the door near Holmes car, sprinted down the sidewalk for a distance of about 200 feet, and then dumped the gas mask. (He probably kept the mask in place to avoid identification by the surveillance closed circuit cameras).

Some additional important questions:

What does the video cameras show? Is the blood on the sidewalk that of James Holmes? And most important, is there any blood on the shoes of James Holmes, the alleged shooter.
