Two articles from todays Harvard Crimson newspaper

For every illegal alien Harvard admits 14 students many of whom were better qualified were rejected. The people of the United States have spent a fortune on education for illegal aliens K-12 education. The best Marshall Plan the United States could give the Third World is strict immigration enforcement.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Acceptance Rate Falls to New Low

A record-low 6.9 percent 1 in 15 of applicants have been accepted to the Harvard College Class of 2014.

The coveted fat envelopes will be mailed today to 2,110 students, the Office of Admissions announced earlier yesterday. Applicants will also receive their decisions via e-mail after 5 p.m. today.

Applications increased by about 5 percent this year, topping 30,000 for the first time. While the acceptance rate dropped by 0.1 percent, 64 more students received a ‘yes’ from Harvard in the initial round of decisions this year.

More than 60 percent of the accepted students are eligible to receive need-based financial aid from Harvard, with the average award totaling $40,000. Although some students’ financial aid applications are still incomplete or subject to change, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid William R. Fitzsimmons ’67 said that “there will almost certainly be a record percentage on financial aid.â€

[quote]Michael realized a school like Harvard was his only chance. Though his parents were excited about his acceptance into some prestigious public universities, Michael could not bring himself to share their joy. “I think they were seeing [my acceptance] as a milestone, and I saw it as a missed opportunity,â€

    Miguelina,

You have that wrong it is not just one other student turned down in favor of Michael the illegal, If he were getting in after applying this year it would be fourteen other students turned down.
