Covington Catholic Student Begs Local TV News to Tell the Truth About Native American Incident In DC

A student at Covington Catholic High School sent a letter Saturday to a local TV station that serves that part of Kentucky, Cincinnati-based WKRC-TV, begging the station to report the truth of an incident Friday in Washington, D.C., involving a Native American man and students from Covington Catholic.

The incident took place at the Lincoln Memorial as the students waited for buses to pick them up after participating in the annual March for Life that day. News reports claimed the students harassed a Native American man named Nathan Phillips–a Vietnam veteran–who was trying to perform a religious ceremony. The students and the school have been viciously attacked online with many threats being made to attack the school children.

As happens too often these days, the media got it wrong. Numerous videos show the students being approached by Phillips and a group of fellow Native American activists who were at the Lincoln Memorial for an Indigenous Peoples Rally that had ended earlier. Videos also show the students being harassed by a group of African-Americans who hurled racist and anti-gay insults at the students.

Three screen captures set the scene. The students are gathered by themselves at the Lincoln Memorial.



In front of them, at a short distance, is a group of African-American preachers.


The last screen image shows Nathan Phillips and his fellow activists approaching the students from the north side of the Lincoln Memorial steps on the other side of the preachers.


A later screen image shows how close Phillips was to the student as he wielded a metal drum stick in the student’s face.

The letter the student wrote to WKRC includes links to videos that back up his story.

A video posted to Facebook shows the beginning of the incident. The students are off by themselves doing school cheers when Phillips and his fellow Native American activists walk over to them, beating drums and chanting, and enter the students’ space.

This video shows the beginning of the confrontation by Phillips where he tests several students before selecting one boy wearing a MAGA hat to target for abuse. Phillips is moving freely about and steps up to the student as he bangs his drum in the boy’s face and loudly chants at him in a language the boy does not understand. Phillips does not attempt to speak to the boy. Phillips doesn’t ask him to move nor does he explain what he is doing.

Another video shows the during and after. At about 1:38 a Native American man tells one of the students, “white people go back to Europe. This is not your land.” The incident with Phillips does not even last three minutes. Toward the end, the boy who was targeted by Phillips turns to a fellow student to hush him after he heard him swear, gesturing him to chill because Phillips was still chanting.

This has been a shameful day for the media as well as for the Covington Diocese and school administrators who threw their students under the bus without any attempt to learn the truth. The Diocese and school issued an apology that condemned their students and threatened them with expulsion before the facts were in.

Hopefully someone will hear the plea of the student for the truth to be reported.

BuzzFeed and the hateful left-wing media is at it again — these MAGA teens were doxxed and are now in fear for their lives!

On Friday, a group of high school boys from Kentucky went to the Lincoln Memorial after attending the March For Life.

While standing at the memorial a group(?) of Native Americans were beating drums at the public memorial.

A Native American man, reportedly a Vietnam veteran, got up in one boy’s face and started screaming and beating his drum.

According to one of the high school boys who was present, a group of black men were taunting the Trump supporters, calling them “shooters” and “crackers” and said the white kids “had everything given to them by their parents.”

At first, the Trump supporting teens ignored the black men who were harassing them, but after the blacks continued to taunt the white kids, the white kids began to chant back at them.

According to a witness, it was at this point that a Native American man showed up “out of no where” and began drumming in the high school kid’s face.

“We weren’t even chanting at him, we were chanting at the African American guy, but obviously social media made us look bad to get views and stuff,” a witness said.

The high school boy was doxxed by the liberal fascist mob.

The boys are from a Catholic HIGH SCHOOL in Kentucky!

Daily Beast doxxed the high school.

Now BuzzFeed is reporting the high school kids may get expelled!

The kids are now in fear for their lives!

“My dad who was on the trip with me was being harassed all morning online and I’m honestly scared for my safety,” one of the teens said.

Progressives Demand Violence After Covington Catholic High Schoolers Are Doxxed

Several leading progressives are responding to an incident outside the Lincoln Memorial by calling for violent acts to be inflicted on students from Kentucky’s Covington Catholic High School, who engaged in a peaceful confrontation with a Native American demonstrator on Saturday.
In the incident, the teenaged boys (many of whom were clad in ‘MAGA’ apparel) in the area for the annual March for Life were confronted by Nathan Philips, a Vietnam veteran in the area for a Native American political event. Contrary to the assertions of fake news media reports, the boys did not engage Mr. Philips, but were approached by him as he drummed a beat on a traditional Native American instrument and sang.
There was nothing particularly outrageous or “racist” about the interaction- but that hasn’t stopped progressives and establishment media figures from framing the incident as if represented the embodiment of “white male entitlement.” Several progressives, demonstrating themselves unable to control their naked hatred and pure rage in response to the incident, went so far as to call for the boys to face violence or legal sanction for their (non)action.
One Gizmodo reporter, Anna Merlan, called for the boys to be lowered into a “shark tank” in response to the milquetoast incident.

Not really as amusing as it was when Dr. Evil had the same idea.
The accusations Merlan cited of the boys chanting ‘Build the Wall’ at Philips remain completely unsubstantiated, despite several videos of the incident existing. However, footage of the boys(mostly white) being racially abused by demonstrators accompanying Philips surfaced.
Some progressives outraged by the incident took a more practical approach to physically harming the boys than Merlan’s shark tank fantasy, calling for them to be punched or attacked. Content revealing the identities of Covington Catholic students pictured in the videos and encouraging people to attack them was deleted from Instagram.
One progressive called for the boys to face criminal penalties for the confrontation, without specifying on what grounds they could be prosecuted.
Just another day in the world of the hateful and intolerant left!

Nathan Phillips, the Native American man at the center of the controversy involving Covington Catholic High School students who were unfairly smeared by the media, is raising money with the help of a major big-money left-wing operation, and has a history of appearing in the press claiming to be a victim of anti-Native racism.
“[Phillips] is a Vietnam Veteran and former director of the Native Youth Alliance,” according to Heavy.
The Native Youth Alliance appears to be a standalone entity. However, the larger well-funded Native Youth Leadership Alliance — which told us that it is not associated with Phillips — is currently promoting Phillips’ fundraising campaign stemming from the incident with the Catholic teens.
The Native Youth Leadership Alliance (NYLA) is a non-profit organization that is funded by the same far-left power players who are often involved in bankrolling leftist causes. The organization’s funding partners include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Social Justice Fund Northwest.

The point is this: Phillips is not simply a random Native man who was accosted by “racist” MAGA-hat wearing teens, as the mainstream press has reported. He is connected to leftist activists who donate large sums to leftist causes. And now, he is personally fundraising off the mainstream press’ misdeeds.
Given that the full, unedited video of the interaction between Phillips and the students shows that Phillips clearly approached the students, and given that he is connected to left-wing social justice causes, one could conclude that he targeted the teenagers for their support of President Donald J. Trump. Yet the mainstream press narrative is exactly the opposite – that the boys targeted Phillips.
Additionally, this is not the first time that Phillips has been at the center of controversy involving alleged racism against the Native Population. In 2015, Phillips claimed that he was “bombarded by racial slurs” by students at Eastern Michigan University.

Not long afterward, Nathan Phillips said that an interaction with party-goers and students turned ugly.

He walked by a home where he saw Eastern Michigan University students dressed as Native Americans.
“They had little feathers on, I was just going to walk by,” Phillips said. “A group of them said ‘Come on over, come here.'”
He says he walked over to the fence and saw roughly 30 to 40 students involved in a theme party.
“They had their face painted,” Phillips said. “I said what the heck is going on here. ‘Oh we are honoring you.’ I said no you are not honoring me.”
It was a statement he says they took offense to.
“Then started whooping and hollering,” he said. “I said that wasn’t honoring, that was racist. Then at that time, it really got ugly.”
Phillips says he was bombarded with racial slurs.
“(They said) ‘Go back to the reservation, you blank indian,'” he said.
One student, he says, threw a beer can at him.
“If I would have stayed where I was at, it would have hit me in the head,” he said. “I backed up and it hit me in the chest.”

Phillips has proven himself to be something of a leftist activist, and the mainstream press, which still has egg on its face from the embarrassing Thursday display accusing Trump of directing his personal lawyer to lie to the Senate, ought to be treading more lightly.
Instead, the press has decided to vilify teenaged boys, who did nothing wrong, in yet another despicable display.
