(Natural News) Longtime political strategist Roger Stone believes that elements of the Democrat-aligned Deep State are plotting a coup that will see POTUS Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence removed from office, which would then hand the presidency to No. 3 in line — Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Once Pelosi takes over, she would then oversee the appointment of twice-failed candidate Hillary Clinton as president, ensuring that she took her ‘rightful place’ as head of the country.
“The Deep State seeks to fabricate some misdeed by the Trump campaign that is sold as Russian collusion,” he said, as reported by Infowars’ editor-at-large Paul Joseph Watson.
“That way they can remove both Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, paving the way for Nancy Pelosi to become president,” he added.
And here’s how it will go from there: Pelosi would appoint Hillary to the vice presidency, then step down “as president allowing Hillary to take the White House which alluded her grasp in 2016.”
If that sounds farfetched, there have been some developments in recent days and weeks that substantiate Stone’s concerns, if not his suspicions. (Related: POTUS Trump: ‘People would revolt’ if Democrats impeach him.)
First of all, earlier this month CNN reported that special counsel Robert Mueller received a six-month extension from a federal judge in Washington, D.C., for the grand jury convened on his behalf. The network, which has, of course, been unreliable when it comes to reporting about POTUS Trump in the past, noted that the grand jury’s 18-month term was set to expire.
The report, which was eventually corroborated by other media, noted further:
The extension is the surest sign yet that the Russia investigation isn’t finished. It means, broadly, that Mueller may continue pursuing alleged criminal activity related to the Russian government’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, and that more indictments may be coming.

Also, Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee who are vetting the president’s attorney general nominee, William Barr, have shown a particular interest in making sure that Mueller’s probe continues — something Barr pledged would happen.
“I believe it is vitally important that the Special Counsel be allowed to complete his investigation,” he said.
“I believe it is in the best interest of everyone – the president, Congress, and, most importantly, the American people – that this matter be resolved by allowing the special counsel to complete his work,” Barr noted further, adding that he believes Mueller “is well along in his investigation.”
For that matter, Barr himself is seen as a Washington insider — he was first President George H. W. Bush’s attorney general and though he identifies with the Republican Party, is generally well-respected by the D.C. establishment (which means the Deep State). What’s more, Barr says he told POTUS Trump “how well I knew Bob Mueller and that the Barrs and Mueller were good friends and would be good friends when this was all over,” adding that “Bob is a straight shooter and should be dealt with as such.”
In addition, the calls for the president’s impeachment — despite the fact that no criminal collusion with Russia has been found and proven, and no other charges exist against him — are becoming blatant and open. The National Sentinel reported Friday:
Sure, he tweets a lot. He takes government planes away from Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He’s brusque, feisty, combative, and sometimes petulant (who in Washington isn’t?).
But the constitutional standard for impeachment is “high crimes and misdemeanors,” and so far that standard hasn’t been met.
Clearly there is an ongoing unhealthy obsession among factions in Washington, D.C., to “get” President Trump and expel him from office. That realization alone lends credibility to Roger Stone’s claim.

Everybody knows that, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that the Joes and Janes who are actually running the bureau aren’t neck deep in the D.C. Deep State.
We know, for instance, that former FBI Director James Comey was corrupt after he excused Hillary Clinton’s serial violations of national security statutes via her gross mishandling of classified emails.
We know that FBI Deputy Director Rod Rosenstein is corrupt because he appointed Robert Mueller special counsel on the basis of a phony “Trump campaign-Russian collusion” narrative.
And now, according to Terry Turchie, a former deputy assistant director at the bureau, we can likely expect more corruption down the road thanks to a changing electorate that is becoming more comfortable with corrupt and morally bankrupt political ideologies. In comments to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson this week regarding the never-ending Russia investigation (compliments of Rosenstein and Mueller), Turchie said this regarding what has become of his former employer:

And ironically, years ago, when I first got into the FBI, one of the missions of the FBI in its counterintelligence efforts was to try and keep these people out of government. Why? Because we would end up with massive dysfunction and massive disinformation and massive misinformation, and it seems to me that’s where we’re at today.
What changed from Hoover’s FBI to Obama’s FBI?

What makes Turchie’s comment about when he first joined the bureau — in July 1972, according to his LinkedIn profile — is that what the FBI has done in the age of Trump differs little from what it was doing in the age of J. Edgar Hoover and the Kennedy, LBJ, and Nixon administrations.
In those days, the FBI was active in undermining perceived socialists and communists of the time, including civil rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr., as noted by Caitlin Johnstone writing at Medium.
The history books tell us that Hoover was essentially an enemy of King, having kept extensive files on him and even denouncing the civil rights activist in November 1964 as “the most notorious liar in the country.”
In fact, a few days after Hoover made that claim, one of his top deputies, William Sullivan, penned a letter to the civil rights leader posing as a disillusioned follower to urge King to commit suicide before evidence of his extramarital affairs became public knowledge.
“There is only one thing left for you to do,” Sullivan warned vaguely in the final paragraph of the typed letter. “You know what it is.”
He would be assassinated nearly four years later, on April 4, 1968, at a hotel in Memphis, Tenn., in an act that some believe involved Hoover’s FBI.
Caitlin noted further that in addition to hating on King, Hoover’s FBI devised an unconstitutional operation known as COINTELPRO which sought to infiltrate and sabotage dissident political and activist groups. In fact, she blames the FBI for assassinating Fred Hampton, a leader of the Black Panther Party, in Chicago in 1969.
“How can anyone justify the FBI’s continued existence after such an admission?” Johnstone wrote regarding Turchie’s comment. “Even if you very trustingly subscribe to the belief that the FBI no longer engages in any such practices to any extent (and that would be extremely naive), how can you justify keeping it in power knowing that it did?”
