Donald Trump: ‘I Fell Asleep’ During Barack Obama Speech

AP Photo/Susan Walsh7 Sep 20181President Donald Trump responded quickly to former President Barack Obama’s speech on Friday, claiming that he fell asleep during the speech.


“I’m sorry, I watched it, but I fell asleep,” he said. “I found he’s very good for sleeping.”


The president responded to Obama’s critical speech of his presidency during a fundraising speech in Fargo, North Dakota.


Trump acknowledged that Obama was “trying to take credit” for the economic boom that the United States was experiencing after he got elected. He argued that the economy would have crashed if Hillary Clinton had won the election.


“If the Democrats got in with their agenda in November of almost two years ago, instead of having 4.2 up, you’d be at 4.2 down,” Trump said. “We were heading South.”


He described Obama’s so-called “recovery” as the weakest economic recovery since the Great Depression.


Trump said that under his presidency the economy was experiencing a “rocket ship” of growth.


He cited the positive economic numbers for August that were just released as proof.


“It took me a few months to get the engine started,” Trump said, pointing out that he did it by cutting regulations on projects like the Dakota pipeline.


Trump read a list of his accomplishments, pointing to historically low unemployment rates, wage growth, and a rebirth in American manufacturing.


“Isn’t this much more exciting than listening to President Obama’s speech?” he asked, as the audience laughed and applauded.

During the campaign, I watched every speech, cheering, clapping, and many times wiping away emotional tears. When he said "you'd be in jail" I found myself in the middle of the floor, propelled out of my chair doing dance moves I couldn't even do when I was 20. Don't even know how I got there, broken ankle and all, but I was there before I knew what happened.

I have not watched a speech or rally in months, not after she's suffered enough, and all the DACA love, and many other things that showed Trump's campaign was as Fake as Fake news.

MATT DRUDGE Trolls Barack Obama and Warns Democrats in Rare Tweet

Matt Drudge, the founder of the highly influential news site the Drudge Report, trolled Obama in a rare tweet on Friday after the former president crawled out of his hole to trash Trump.

Obama gave a speech at the University of Illinois on Friday. He trashed Trump then arrogantly took credit for Trump’s booming economy.


The former president kicked off his campaign tour to help the Democrats win this fall in the midterms–only he will do them more damage than good.


Obama was a horrible president.

He is the only president in history to never see a single year of 3.0% GDP growth yet here he is with a smug look on his face giving himself credit for Trump’s accomplishments.


Democrats lost a grand total of 1,042 federal posts under Obama’s presidency.


This includes Congressional, state legislature and governorships–this was a repudiation of Obama’s policies.
Matt Drudge pointed out the carnage in the House and Senate under Obama’s presidency then said, “Now the former president is determined they never get them back!”


“Democrats lost 76 House seats and 15 Senate seats during Obama‘s terms. Now the former president is determined they never get them back!” Matt Drudge said in a viral tweet.

LOL!! I listened to part of it until I zoned out and I thought to myself, Trump is going to say something about Obama being a snoozer loser. Obama talks like a preacher that puts the flock to sleep on Sundays.

stoptheinvaders, there were millions who experienced the jubilation you describe during the campaign in the hope for stopping illegal immigration, to seeing the actual building of a wall, tax cuts, ending Obamacare, and other positive changes for the United States and for the American people. Now, there are those experiencing frustration and disappointment in not seeing more progress on some of these things, including building the border wall and enforcement.

I keep believing that we will see more things being done as creative ideas and full use of immigration laws are being enacted. The precarious situation with Attorney General Sessions could play a part, too.

A couple of glaring failures are not securing our borders and in giving any hope for the so called illegal alien "dreamers" in DACA. However, with more republicans elected who support protecting the nation and its citizens from the continuing invasion, we may succeed. I hope so.

If you've seen one, you've pretty much seen them all. And that's all I'm going to say about that.
