New accuser to go public with charges against Herman Cain

A fourth woman accusing Herman Cain of sexual harassment during his time at the National Restaurant Assn. plans to go public with her allegations at a news conference Monday in New York.

The woman is represented by powerhouse Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred. Allred had a similar news conference earlier this year on behalf of one of the women who was enmeshed in the Twitter scandal that brought down New York Rep. Anthony Weiner.

Allred’s office said the woman “is not one of the three women who have previously been reported to have alleged sexual harassment by the Republican presidential candidate â€

I find it highly suspicious that this comes out at a time when Cain is rising in the GOP field Why didn't this come out sooner? I'd love to know who's so scared of Cain's star rising in the field of candidates for POTUS, that this witch hunt is taking place now.

. . ."the Republican presidential aspirant had better get the facts out soon, or he might end up as the latest politician to learn that coverups do more damage than the offense."

"Indeed, there's only one thing that can help Cain: the facts, assuming he has done nothing wrong. He should get them out as quickly as possible, starving the story of fuel and his critics of ammunition. Given the sometimes fuzzy, he-said/she-said nature of harassment complaints, the truth might still be elusive. But Cain would at least look like he's trying to pursue it, not bury it." . . .
