Teen With Cerebral Palsy Gets Biggest Thrill When His Favorite NFL Star Makes His Prom Unforgettable

By Justen Charters 7 hours ago

Seventeen-year-old Juwaan Espinal lives with cerebral palsy, and can only get around with the help of a wheelchair. Despite his physical limitations, Juwaan serves as a Super Bowl-sized inspiration for his friends at Centerville High School.

On Thursday, at a playoff lacrosse game just before prom season, Juwaan got a surprise that so touched his heart he couldn’t stop smiling.

That’s when he saw someone holding up a large, handwritten banner:

Little did Juwaan know, waiting behind the banner was Morgan Assel, with a special prom proposal for him. An even bigger surprise was that his favorite NFL player, Washington Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III, stood ready to help Morgan in her task.

Juwaan has no verbal skills, but his body language clearly said yes. It’s a “touchdown” moment that would leave any heart cheering.
