Global Intel Hub (Zero Hedge Exclusive) 9/6/2018 -- Yesterday a bombshell 'op-ed' by the CIA conTROLLED "New York Times" was published, supposedly from an 'anonymous' source in the Trump Administration, leaving readers wondering who could it be?
We have an idea of who it's not, so before identifying who it could be, let's brief ourselves on the history here. As we explain in Splitting Pennies - the world is not as it seems. The CIA is the most active agency fighting the information war but it is by no means the only one. But it is their likely craftwork here, as the NYT and Wapo are their go-to sources for 'public' information disclosures for the last 50 years at least. Take a look at this interesting revelation from the previous administration, and remember these deep state operatives are mostly still working in their same jobs, but under a President who they want to depose:

Thanks to prior disclosures from Judicial Watch of documents it obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, this is old news. That's what the Obama administration chronically does: it manipulates secrecy powers to prevent accountability in a court of law, while leaking at will about the same programs in order to glorify the president.
But what is news in this disclosure are the newly released emails between Mark Mazzetti, the New York Times's national security and intelligence reporter, and CIA spokeswoman Marie Harf.

The second point to understand, the CIA has a well funded well trained team that topples foreign leaders. Guys, this isn't easy. If anyone thinks what they do is easy, you have never been in a military operation. One mistake can foil an operation. And there have been lots of failures. Failures can mean people are killed. This is really serious business! The funding, the training, the resources that go into it - rack up in the tens of billions of dollars. America's best and brightest. Guys with high IQs and training. The legacy of covert U.S. involvement in the seven successful coups below (not to mention a number of U.S. military interventions against hostile regimes and U.S.-supported insurgencies and failed assassination attempts, including a plan to kill Fidel Castro with an exploding cigar), has made the secret hand of the United States a convenient bogeyman in today’s political tensions. Even now, despite waning U.S. influence in Cairo, conspiracy theories suggesting that both the Muslim Brotherhood and the military-backed government are in cahoots with the United States abound in Egypt.

That's just who we know about, based on historical declassified documents. It doesn't mention recent events in Ukraine for example, and other 'client states' - but it's enough to paint the picture of the working model of the CIA and the group who is trained and tasked to do this.
The scary thing, this group has turned domestically. For the first time ever, starting from the time when Trump first won the Republican nomination, this 'coup group' has been tasked to topple Trump - a real flagrant violation. There is no higher crime, than treason. Of course, they have more than plausible deniability, as they already operate under legal secrecy, using anonymous identities, false names, dummy corporations, and a global infrastructure setup at a cost of tens of millions of dollars to mask their identities (which was setup for the purpose of regime change in non-US friendly countries).
Fortunately, for Trump, he is actually their boss, so it will be possible for him, if he really wants to drain the swamp as he claims, to smoke the rats and gophers out of the rat holes. Obviously this matter is so serious and so deep, it is a lot more complicated than just identification of the anonymous author as the author is likely a GS-15 ready for retirement. But the author represents just one cog in a deep state machine which represents a complex web of interests between 'shadow banking' and 'shadow government' that are backed by some of the most powerful people in the world.
Just to give an example of how deep the rabbit hole goes, as outlined in this excellent book "IBM and the Holocaust" a MUST READ for anyone interested in politics, Thomas Watson, the CEO and founder of IBM - was supplying Hitler with computer systems needed to identify, even when information was not voluntarily given, jewish heritage. Not only that, Watson was Hitlers personal friend, who would attend lavish parties with him and was the recipient of a medal of honor Hitler didn't give even to his closest Generals. In flagrant violation of trading with the enemy act, IBM setup a proxy company in Switzerland that actually IBM USA had no direct ties to the NAZI regime. This was, and still is - how the world works. But this was a time before the CIA existed, but the 'network' that was setup in this time, such as by 'the brothers.'
This mistake by the failing New York Times as Trump calls them is the nail in the coffin for them. They have proven to be the leader in the 'fake news' industry. They have made themselves the "Pravda" of USA - (for those who don't know, Pravda, which means 'truth' in the Russian language, was the Soviet backed and controlled Propaganda publication and still exists today http://www.pravdareport.com/ )

This op-ed is smoking gun proof of the cold-coup plot against Trump - this has gone way beyond 'draining the swamp' and is not a grey area - this is a vicious attack by the deep state showing their hand that they will stop at nothing to stop this administration, including but not limited to you know what.
Hopefully, this will serve as a wake up call that there are still many snakes in the grass.
To conclude the deductive logic here, let's examine WHO can be the author, if a real person in the administration. Not any people mentioned there. Bookies are saying Pence is the leading candidate.

Mike Pence is the bookies' favorite named insider to be the "gutless" wretch who wrote the "reckless" anonymous NYTimes op-ed from inside the 'resistance' with 2-to-3 odds according to MyBookie website.

“What tipped us off was ‘lodestar,’ “ MyBookie head oddsmaker David Strauss said of Pence.
“When you search members of the administration (who have used that word) only one name comes up – and that name is Mike Pence. He’s used in multiple speeches this year.”

No, not Pence. It would be easy for Trump to deal with it if it was in fact Pence. It would be highly illegal and very risky for Pence to do it, plus why would he care if he can just wait for something bad to happen and potentially become President himself? There's no motive. The deep state, organized by a secret CIA office in charge of coups, has the motive, has the funding, and has the ultimate protection: the cloak of secrecy and anonymouty. Unlike any other potential author, the CIA has the exclusive power to mask their methods and individuals under the protection of "National Security" - this proves beyond a reasonable doubt, the author is NOT anyone working in the Trump administration. It MUST BE someone like Christopher Steele, or someone working in Langley.

If you want a career as an intelligence analyst there is one skill you must master: writing. “Quite frankly, if you can’t write and you can’t master the specific style of intelligence writing, you do not have a career at the CIA,” said David Cariens, a 31-year career CIA officer.
Cariens spent the majority of his career as political analyst specializing in Eastern European affairs. He wrote for all levels of the U.S. government, from the President to policymakers.
The CIA gives new hires 18 to 24 months to become standalone analysts and, if they cannot meet stringent writing standards within that time period, the CIA helps them find work elsewhere. At one point, the CIA was losing nearly 60 percent of its analysts in the first 24 months. That was when CIA leadership approached Cariens and asked him and another analyst to develop and teach an intense writing program for at-risk analysts.

When one thinks of 'analyst' they probably don't consider this critical skill. Yes, it's true - the CIA has some of the world's best writers. Not only are they intelligent, they have access to the best information which is private and classified - they have the legal protection under the security act! It just doesn't get any more conclusive, who the author is of this NYT op-ed. They have the resources, the motive, the methods, the team (how many potential 'authors' in CIA could this be - perhaps hundreds). But, without an internal audit, we would never be able to find out 'who' is the author - but 'who' the author IS - not as important really as who the author IS NOT. Author IS NOT working in Trump Administration (in the White House) - author is working FOR the Trump Administration, for the CIA, in Langley. This is typical CIA they write 95% truth. The conspiracy they describe to oust Trump it is real, but it's not in his core administration, it's in the deep state. It's in hundreds of agencies. It involves foreign countries. Guys this web of the shadow banking, shadow government is global.
What are the motives? Not only is this a deep state conspiracy, Trump has directly confronted the agency, and most recently revoked the security clearance of whack job Brennan, a deep-state leader.

WASHINGTON—President-elect Donald Trump, a harsh critic of U.S. intelligence agencies, is working with advisers on a plan that would restructure and pare back the nation’s top spy agency, people familiar with the planning said.

This is clear 'blowback' as Trump attempts to 'restructure' an agency with deep state ties, powerful friends, and the ultimate legal protection "National Security" - perhaps it is time to revisit the outdated and ineffective 1947 "National Security Act?

These people if they exist are idiots, stupid, corrupt, dishonest, dishonorable and unfit to serve in the Executive Branch of our government, especially the Trump White House. The worst thing in business and even worse in government are underlings who think they know more than the boss. They may know a specific thing better, that's why they have a job, but they do not know the overall goal, the overall objectives, the overall direction, the overall game plan. That's why we have organizational charts, chains of command and levels of authority and responsibility.

The Woodward Book and the Op-Ed Letter are both proving themselves, HUUUGE "duds". By tomorrow, no one will give a crap about either one of them.
