Al Gore and his traveling medicine show is back in town with his new, improved snake oil, guaranteed to grow hair, improve digestion, promote regularity and kill roaches, rats and bedbugs. Al and his wagon rumbled into town on the eve of "a major forthcoming report" from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is a panel of scientists affiliated with the United Nations. Their report is expected to buck up the spirits of the tycoons of the snake-oil industry.

A snake-oil salesman's lot, like a policeman's, is not a happy one. There's always a skeptic or two (or three) standing at the back of the wagon, eager to scoff and jeer. The global-warming scam would have been right up Gilbert and Sullivan's street. Would Al and the U.N. deceive us? No! Never! What! Never? Weeeell, hardly ever.

The New York Times, a faithful shill for Al's snake-oil elixir, following the wagon from town to town, got an advance copy of the U.N. report and gives out with the "good" news: It's a "near certainty" that humans are responsible for the rising temperatures of recent decades, and warns that by the end of the century all the little people - small children, midgets and others whose growth was stunted by drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes at an early age - will be up to their belly buttons in salt water. The seas will rise by more than three feet.

The inconvenient truth Al and the junk scientists have to deal with is that temperatures aren't rising, but falling. In fact, since the early 1990s we've had global cooling. It got so embarrassing Al and the junk scientists started calling it "climate change."

Some days it rains, some days it doesn't and some days it's a little of both. That's real change. The U.N. panel concedes that global warming has in fact given way to global cooling, but attributes this to "short-term factors." The minions of the compliant media, ever eager to blow hard about the coming end of the world, when women and minorities will suffer most, will rattle and twitter about the U.N. climate report with their usual tingle and flutter.

President Obama tried the other day to elbow Al aside to lead with his assertion that hurricanes are getting worse and that only he has the power to put them in their place. Hurricanes are actually getting not worse, but fewer. Only three major hurricanes have made landfall so far in Mr. Obama's presidency.

Grover Cleveland, who was president between 1885 and 1889, entertained 26 major hurricanes during his presidency, and that was before global warning was invented.

We were scheduled to see an enormous melting of polar ice by now, but even the ice won't co-operate. The U.S. Navy forecasts twice as much mid-September ice this year as it measured in 2012.

The only way to deal with the inconvenient truth is to bellow and bawl the convenient whopper louder than ever. In an interview this week with a blogger for The Washington Post, Ezra Klein greeted Al with a shower of sanitized softballs, and Al knocked some of them halfway back to the pitcher's mound. Al is exhausted dealing with the skeptics, whom he calls "denialists," as in denying the Holocaust. The denialists, he says, are "like a family with an alcoholic father who flies into a rage every time a subject is mentioned and so everybody avoids the elephant in the room to keep the peace."

Al, who is a decent sort who tried to be a good ol' boy when he went back home to visit the family tobacco farm, says the denialists remind him of racists, warmongers, homophobes and other congenital undesirables, but he thinks it won't be long until they're permanently silenced. "We're winning the conversation," he says.

On the contrary, what frustrates Al and the snake-oil industry is that the skeptics can no longer be shut out of the conversation. "We can expect the climate crisis industry to grow increasingly shrill, and increasingly hostile toward anyone who questions their authority," Kenneth P. Green, a former member of the U.N. panel, predicted three years ago. Another former panelist, Dr. Kimimori Itoh, a Japanese physical chemist, calls the phenomenon "the worst scientific scandal in history. When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists."

That's too bad, because when science and scientists one day discover a genuine crisis, nobody will listen. We're up to our ears already in snake oil.

Waiting and waiting... 17 years after the wall of water was supposed to hit Florida's beaches are at the same location it always was

Note: Seeing how gravity is a universal rule for this planet

1. If Florida's beaches are not submerged (80% of Florida is at sea Level) it is safe to assume that Europe, Asia , South America's beaches are in the same state as it always was

2. Beware of Walls of Water that have been waiting 17 years AFTER Global Warming ENDED and waiting to sneak up on ya

Kind of like what Al and Barack have done to enhance the reputation for winners of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Makes one feel embarrassed for anyone to have the misfortune of winning it.

But yet, tune in the device for mass deception, commonly called a TV, and hear those more accustom to a thermostat controlled climate, pontificating on the absolute certain of climate change while belching more than their share of carbon into the atmosphere. Confirming once again not only do they not know what they are talking about, but are hypocrites for claiming they do and not acting differently

True scientists start with the null hypothesis (that there is no relationship), and attempt to disprove the null hypothesis beyond doubt. In this case, the null hypothesis would be that climate change has always been occurring and that any recent change in temperatures is simply a part of natural variation, not due to human influence. I have yet to see any evidence that disproves this hypothesis.
The IPCC “scientists” take the non-scientific approach of assuming a relationship between anthropogenic CO2 emissions and global temperatures and basically ask others to disprove it. Anybody who pokes holes in their theory is labeled a skeptic and tarred and feathered. Despite the fact that the correlation is shaky at best, a correlation does not prove cause and effect. The theory must be taken on faith.

Climate science has nothing to do with science and everything to do with providing governments a means to tax (and therefore control) almost all human activities. When Al Gore speaks, you know it comes from an innate desire to grow government and control citizens.

You need to understand where Al Gore wants to go with this. Remember “cap and trade”? In the original cap and trade bill, all of the carbon exchange transactions were to be handled by a small obscure Chicago bank. All of those transactions would require paying a small fee to that small obscure Chicago bank, who by the way, had a monopoly on doing those transactions.

Who are the 2 biggest stockholders in that small, obscure Chicago bank?? You guessed it! Al Gore and Barack Obama. It was estimated that Al Gore would make approximately 200 billion dollars in the first 10 yeas of cap and trade, AND , Obama would make about 100 billion dollars. Yes, you read correct! One hundred billion, ….. with a “b”!

So now, you understand why Gore wants “climate change” to be real. Expect Obama to order, by executive order, cap and trade regulations, any day now. Time is getting short for him to score his 100 billion, before leaving office!

The easy tagline for this would be, “UN declares global warming to be a myth, Al Gore hardest hit.” The only problem with that is Al Gore has already become fantastically rich peddling nonsense about how we’re all about to die a fiery death and besides, since when have facts ever stopped liberals?

Global warming alarmists, Al Gore, we need to talk. Well, this is awkward. A leaked report by the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says that the world is not warming but is actually cooling, and will continue to get colder until the middle of the century. You remember the IPCC, right? It’s the group whose 2007 report on global warming said that snow would disappear from everywhere but the highest mountains, icebergs would melt causing sea levels to rise, deserts would spread, people would die in heat waves and pretty much the earth was going to end if we didn’t immediately destroy our carbon-fueled economy with job-killing government regulations.

Well, that’s not happening. In fact, the Arctic ice caps have grown by 60 percent since 2012.

All this nonsense about global warming is driven by politics. You want to guarantee that scientists say what you want about global warming? Well, you give grants to the scientists who agree with you and cut it off to those who don’t, control what gets punished and demonize scientists who disagree with you and you can beat people into submission….for a while. But now, the scientific evidence has gotten so overwhelming that even the UN is quietly admitting that global warming is bunk.

So, can we finally admit that conservatives were right all along about global warming while liberals were wrong?
