The history of development of capitalism shows that xenophobia and racism have always been used by unscrupulous politicians in the recurring cycles of economic crisis , to divert the discontent and anger of the majority of the people.

To hide the real causes of economic and financial difficulties is looking for minority groups and has designated them as responsible for problems plaguing the nation. This happened in America with Irish immigrants , Italians and Jews. Now in this cycle of economic depression, it is the turn of the Hispanic -speaking , to be scapegoats for their financial calamities . In Europe, chasing Sudacas , Africans, Muslims and other ethnic minorities charging the economic bankruptcy , while bankers and speculators - the real cause of global crisis , continue with their fraud , recreating new financial pyramids , increasingly sophisticated , increasing making profits and impoverish the majority of the population .

Here in the U.S. one of the poorest states , Arizona with six million inhabitants and situated on the border with Mexico, became by the will of the Republicans and with the consent of 70 percent of its inhabitants, the first state police , to sign your Governor Jan Brewer SB -1070 law that makes criminals out of some 460.000 immigrants. Thanks Richard. I went to that site and read some of their comments. They sure look at Arizona in a different light then we do. But they are still in the wrong when they cross withoutproper consent. They claim they had tens of thousands in the streets in Phoenix to protest SB1070.

They also complain about Obama and Bush...Seems as though they ought to focus on their own homeland and fix it there.

She is so wrong. It is easy to judge from afar. I guess she has never had to work alongside an illegal to find out who is the racist one.

The last 2 paragraphs really need some help - not coherent.

This is a groundswell movement of displaced citizens that has been growing for decades but never had a voice or a safe place to air their concerns due to just the attack that is occurring now - screams of racism with no concept of lives destroyed and American dreams ruined because of the selfishness of businesses hiring illegals where taxpayers have to make up the difference of what the business does not pay. That is why Arizona is broke. What an idiot.

And why do all these idiots get media play?

Reminds me of the one that I read yesterday that flat out lied and said that most of the anchor babies are delivered to middle class women who come from Mexico and pre-pay the hospital for the service of delivering the baby. This lying should be criminalized - I am so waiting for some major lawsuits to come down that prosecute for just this thing - lying to people.
