Fox & Friends Wants IQ Test For Politicians Supporting Gun Control (Video)

A New York Post column on Monday suggested that politicians who support gun control should have to pass an IQ test.

The article skewered Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette (D), who accidentally suggested that gun magazines could not be refilled and reused.

Fox & Friends on Tuesday picked up on the idea on Tuesday (video below), reportsRawStory.com.

“If somebody’s going to be in Capitol Hill or in Congress and you’re going to sponsor legislation or you’re going to vote on something, you better know what you’re talking about,” lectured co-host Steve Doocy.

“Because obviously you can’t be an expert on every issue. And there’s a big difference between an IQ test and and a competency test. So people can be brilliant and still be dumb on certain issues," co-host Gretchen Carlson chimed in.

“You know, if you listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio, he talks about how there are a lot of low-information voters and listeners out there,” said Doocy. “They don’t really tune in to the election until the very last moment... If you’re going to sponsor legislation, you should know what a magazine is. Hello?”
