    Airborne, there is a great book by Michael Crighton called "State of Fear" which really describes how politicians operate. It really opened my eyes and made me think about how and why politicians create panic and fear to maintain power. The truth of the matter is though...people feed off of fear...it gives them something to look forward to, something to take them away from their daily boring lives. This is just my opinion though.
