“Thy sins are forgiven, accepted thou artâ€

For that Friend that works and never questions why,
For that friend that fights and never says die,
For that friend that is strong and knows the battle long
Yet each day comes back with a sturdy hart.




O God, the Strength of those who war,
The Hope of those who wait,
Be with our sons gone forth to fight,
And those who keep the gate.

Give to our hosts in battle’s hour
Firm hearts and courage high,
Thy comfort give to those who fall,
Thy peace to those who die.

Breathe on our land the spirit calm
Which faith in right bestows,
And in the hours of dark suspense
A faith which stronger grows.

In Thee alone we place our hope,
Thou Keeper of the just,
And Thou, through fight and fire and fears
Wilt justify our trust.

Thy ways are wonderful, O God,

We don't need to understand, we just need to hold His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.


We are tossed and driv’n on the restless sea of time;
Somber skies and howling tempests oft succeed a bright sunshine;
In that land of perfect day, when the mists have rolled away,

When the saints of God are gathered home,

We are often destitute of the things that life demands,
