The massive move Friday in Google (GOOGL) shares is one for the history books – it puts more value into the hands of investors than any other stock market move in a day.

Shares of the online advertising company soared $96.47, or 16%, to $699.20. That’s an astounding move for a mega-cap company like Google, with a full market value of $468.3 billion, says Howard Silverblatt of S&P Dow Jones Indices.

The move higher created $65 billion in paper wealth in a single day, which Silverblatt says is easily a record. That surpasses the $46 billion in paper wealth Apple created when it rallied big-time on April 25, 2012.

It’s such a good day – it’s part of the reason why five lucky tech titans including the Google guys make a huge score this week.

The biggest winners from Google’s historic jump are co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Both of the Google guys just hauled in more than $4 billion – each – in one day.

Not bad.
