    Harry Reid to Silence Rush Limbaugh: Rush Answers "Say it to My Face"

    Does Harry Reid wish to silence Rush Limbaugh? The US Senate leader took to the floor of the Senate on Monday and ripped into the radio talk show host in an extended attack on the Senate floor, hammering what he says were Rush Limbaugh's earlier comments as "unpatriotic" and demanding he apologize to the troops, according to a report from TPM Central.

    Harry Reid Tries to Silence Rush Limbaugh: Rush "Say it to My Face"

    So what does Harry Reid want - he wants to silence Limbaugh. Unfortunately for Reid, he just elevated Rush in the eyes of many and you can expect his supporters to dig in and since Harry Reid really has no supporters - he will lose on this one. I always knew Reid do be dull and slow, but this elevation of Limbaugh may really cost the Democrats.

    Rush fired back telling Reid to "say it to my face" and saying Reid "has to be a nut." He said on his radio show today, "Ladies and gentlemen, in the last half hour, Harry Reid took to the floor of the Senate and proceeded to spend five-to-seven minutes denouncing me, spreading the smear that started last week on this phony soldiers business. He has prepared a letter to be sent to the CEO of the company that syndicates this program, and that letter he asked as many senators as possible to sign, offering them the opportunity to demand of my syndicator that I be condemned for something that I did not say, which Harry Reid knows I did not say."

    Continuing: "The House of Representatives, I have just learned, is going to introduce a resolution this afternoon along the lines of the MoveOn.org resolution that was introduced last week, tit-for-tat, they want a vote in the House to condemn me, a private citizen, for something I did not say." For those that are not caught up yet the entire background - and it is extensive can be found here.

    That led to this resolution commending Rush Limbaugh per Drudge: Mr. KINGSTON submitted the following resolution

    RESOLUTION

    Commending Rush Hudson Limbaugh III for his ongoing public support of American troops serving both here and abroad. Recognizing Mr. Limbaugh for his relentless efforts to build and maintain troop morale through worldwide radio broadcasts and personal visits to conflict regions.

    Whereas the need to show support for American troops serving and fighting both here and abroad during a time of global conflict has never been greater, with the need to communicate an uplifting message of encouragement to American soldiers eternally important, in addition to the morale-boosting value of personal visits to region by highly-regarded individuals;

    Whereas daily radio broadcasts reaching tens of millions of civilians and soldiers both in America and abroad by way of the Armed Forces Radio Network are conducted five days a week by Rush Hudson Limbaugh III;

    Whereas Mr. Limbaugh has consistently used his broadcast time to praise American troops and support them during their ongoing efforts to secure peace in a troubled world;

    Whereas Mr. Limbaugh made a week-long visit to meet with troops based in Afghanistan in 2004;

    Whereas Mr. Limbaugh has raised and donated millions of dollars to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides college scholarships to the children of Marines and veterans of other branches killed in action;

    Whereas Mr. Limbaugh’s website features an “Adopt a Soldierâ€

    This isn't the whole story. Reid was not alone yesterday bashing Rush. There was at least one other Democratic Senator on the floor of the Senate spewing lies.

    Rush called a man that didn't even make it out of boot camp, served like 43 days a phony soldier. They guy ran around saying that he witnessed American soldiers killing innocent people in some atrocious ways. Of course he was broadcast all over Al Jazera as a legitimate soldier.

    How much damage did this one nut case "phony soldier" do to our effort in Iraq is unimaginable.

    Thanks for pointing that out Rush.

    To Harry Reid and his Democratic cohorts. Shame on you!!!!!! Very inappropriate to use the US Senate as a propaganda machine by degrading free speech and smearing another public figure.

    They are taking anything and everything out of context in order to silence people. I like Rush and even though I wouldn't say I'm a die hard fan and do disagree with him at times.....what they have been trying to do to him is totally wrong. It's gotten to the point where you're almost afraid to say a word where people don't twist, distort, get offended or anything else to use it against you.
