Yes, Virginia — and the rest of the country — there is a lot of news about ObamaCare. Of course, with everything else that’s demanding our attention, or inviting us to cover our heads, you may have missed it.
And yes, we know that it’s often the intent of Team Obama to take our minds off one train wreck (ObamaCare) by pointing to, promoting or even staging plane crashes — not literally, but you know what I mean.
Bloody and dangerous Middle East turmoil. The invasion of illegals on our southern border. Economic conditions that still threaten middle class America. The ongoing scandal involving care of our military vets by the VA. To name just the more prominent challenges of late.
Rasmussen Reports has published results of a new survey showing that 48% of likely U.S. voters think our healthcare will get worse, not better, because of ObamaCare. And a substantial majority of Americans continue to dislike the law:
Voters still aren’t convinced that the new national health care law will improve the quality of care or address their number one concern, how much it costs.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% of Likely U.S. Voters still share a favorable opinion of Obamacare, while 54% view it unfavorably. This includes 15% with a Very Favorable view of the law and 39% with a Very Unfavorable one.
That 12-point “unfavorable” spread indicating we don’t like Obama’s healthcare takeover scheme remains fairly consistent and could well be a big downer for democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections.
