Shariah: 27 Year Old, 8 Month Pregnant Sudanese Woman to be Flogged to Death for Marr

Shariah: 27 Year Old, 8 Month Pregnant Sudanese Woman Mariam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag to be Flogged to Death for Marrying a Christian Man

Twenty-seven year old Mariam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag is eight months pregnant and has just been sentenced by a Sudanese court to be flogged to death, after being found guilty of apostasy and adultery because she married a Christian man, which Muslim women are prohibited from doing, voiding the marriage.

According to Reuters, the final ruling was handed down Thursday.
"The verdict is contrary to commitments Sudan has made in its own Constitution and commitments made under regional and international law; Meriam has been convicted solely on account of her religious convictions and personal status," said Katherine Perks with the African Centre for Justice and Peace Studies.
"The fact that a woman could be sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion, is abhorrent and should never be even considered," Manar Idriss, Amnesty International's Sudan researcher, said in a statement.
    The Daily Mail reports:
On February 7, 2014, Meriam was arrested, with her 20-month-old son, and put in a women's prison. She had not been charged nor did she receive a fair trial.

A relative had turned her in to the police for marrying a Christian. According to the Sudan's Public Order Criminal Code.

Meriam is a Muslim by default because she was born in Sudan.

Thus, her marriage to a Christian is a criminal act.

On March 4th, Meriam was charged with adultery and apostasy.

The adultery charge came with a punishment of 100 lashes.

The apostasy charge came with a punishment of death. As it stands, Meriam will be put to death following the birth of her second child.

That isn't all. Daniel, Mariam's husband will not be allowed to care for their child that is to be born nor will he be able to care for two-year-old Martin, who is in prison with his mother, simply because he is a Christian.
A young group of Sudanese university students have protested publicly near Khartoum University calling for an end to these kinds of atrocities.

Sudan Change Now Movement, one of these youth groups, issued a statement saying, "The details of this case expose the regime's blatant interference in the personal life of Sudanese citizens."
The protests resulted in the closing of the university indefinitely on Sunday by authorities. Western embassies and activists condemned the move.
Aljazeera reported, "'We call upon the government of Sudan to respect the right to freedom of religion, including one's right to change one's faith or beliefs,' the embassies of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands said in a joint statement."
"The embassies urged Sudanese legal authorities 'to approach Ms. Mariam's case with justice and compassion that is in keeping with the values of the Sudanese people,'" the reported stated.
In case you are wondering, this is what Shariah looks like. It perverts law and often times turns the law abiding person into a criminal. Even Sudan's information minister, Ahmed Bilal Osman, stated that this is what Islamic countries adhere to.
"It's not only Sudan. In Saudi Arabia, in all the Muslim countries, it is not allowed at all for a Muslim to change his religion," he told the AFP news agency.
Osman is telling the truth. Other accounts of how women are treated in Islamic countries like this are incredibly unjust. Here are a couple of instances that took place in The United Arab Emirates (UAE) country of Dubai:

    • Australian Alicia Gali was gang raped by three Islamists in Dubai – Sentenced to a filthy jail for eight months for "illicit sex outside of marriage.
    • Marte Deborah Dalelven, a 25 year old Norwegian woman was also knocked out and gang raped by several Islamists and she got 13 months in jail!

So in Islam, a woman that is raped is considered nothing more than a common whore and treated worse than a whore. Yes, this is Shariah. This is what Obama and his advisors want to bring to America my friends.
There was one bright story, I shared last year. A US Navy Sailor named M.J. (a female) faced an attempted rape by an Islamist with a knife in Dubai. Shariah was unable to get to her because she beat her attacker senseless before fleeing back to her ship.
These are only snippets which the vile nature of Islam produces. Yet, daily I get ridiculous emails, such as the one I received yesterday via Facebook from a woman in Australia with her head in the sand, who I attempted to educate on Islam. Her response was to pick out Shiites and Wahabbis and claim them as the "most extreme." Yet, when I merely point out that they are the most devout, not extreme, she resorts to ad hom, calling me small minded and blaming my environment and my upbringing, but never addressing the text of the Koran or the founder of Islam, Muhammad. Yep, people like Irene will not believe the truth about Islam until the teeth of the jihadist's blade is roughly sawing their heads off (unless they decide to submit first).
Keep that woman's comments in your head when you consider that Shi'as make up only 20% of the UAE's native population.
I'm sure Mariam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag and her beloved husband and children would be quick to tell her just how wrong she is….dead wrong.

Pregnant Woman Learns Her Fate Under Sharia Law For Converting To Christianity

in Faith, News / by Dom the Conservative / on May 15, 2014 at 4:57 pm /

When you are born into a Muslim family, you are, in the eyes of the clerics, a Muslim for life. Should you choose to marry outside of Islam, you are considered an adulterer, and your marriage will never be recognized by the court.
That’s why 27-year-old Mariam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag has been sentenced to 100 lashes, and Ishag’s marriage to a Christian from South Sudan is going unrecognized.
The lashes are a mere slap on the wrist compared to her ultimate sentence for converting from Islam, however.
Ishag, who is pregnant, has been sentenced to death for apostasy, according to the proper enforcement of Sharia law.
    Aljazeera reported:
“We gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to Islam,” Judge Abbas Mohammed Al-Khalifa told the woman on Thursday, addressing her by her father’s Muslim name, Adraf Al-Hadi Mohammed Abdullah.
“I sentence you to be hanged to death.”
Khalifa also sentenced Ishag to 100 lashes for “adultery”.
Ishag, who rights activists say is pregnant and 27 years old, reacted without emotion when Abbas delivered the verdict at a court in the Khartoum district of Haj Yousef.
Earlier in the hearing, an Islamic religious leader spoke with Ishag in the caged dock for about 30 minutes.
Then she calmly told the judge: “I am a Christian and I never committed apostasy.”
Speaking to AFP news agency on Wednesday, Ahmed Bilal Osman, Sudan’s information minister, said: “It’s not only Sudan. In Saudi Arabia, in all the Muslim countries, it is not allowed at all for a Muslim to change his religion.”

While many like to argue that this type of punishment goes against Islam, one must acknowledge that these laws and disciplinary actions do not come from fanatical extremists, but from the clerics, courts and religious experts of Islam.

Sudan Sentences Pregnant Christian Mother to Death for 'Apostasy'

Sudanese woman sentenced to death for apostasy

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) — A pregnant Sudanese woman who married a Christian man was sentenced to death Thursday after she refused to recant her Christian faith, her lawyer said.Meriam Ibrahim, whose father was Muslim but mother was an Orthodox Christian from Ethiopia, was convicted of "apostasy" on Sunday and given four days to repent and escape death, said lawyer Al-Shareef Ali al-Shareef Mohammed.

The 26 year old, who is eight months pregnant, was sentenced after that grace period expired, Mohammed said.

Amnesty International immediately condemned the sentence, calling it "abhorrent." The U.S. State Department said it was "deeply disturbed" by the sentencing and called on the government to respect the right to freedom of religion.

Mohammed, the lawyer, called the conviction rushed and legally flawed since the judge refused to hear key defense witnesses and ignored constitutional provisions on freedom of worship and equality among citizens.

Ibrahim and Wani married in a formal church ceremony in 2011 and have a son, 18-month-old Martin, who is with her in jail. The couple runs several businesses, including a farm, south of Khartoum.

Sudan's penal code criminalizes the conversion of Muslims into other religions, which is punishable by death.

As in many Muslim nations, Muslim women in Sudan are prohibited from marrying non-Muslims, though Muslim men can marry outside their faith. By law, children must follow their father's religion.

Sudan introduced Islamic Shariah laws in the early 1980s under the rule of autocrat Jaafar Nimeiri, a move that contributed to the resumption of an insurgency in the mostly animist and Christian south of Sudan. An earlier round of civil war lasted 17 years and ended in 1972. The south seceded in 2011 to become the world's newest nation, South Sudan.

Sudanese President Omar Bashir, an Islamist who seized power in a 1989 military coup, says his country will implement Islam more strictly now that the non-Muslim south is gone.

A number of Sudanese have been convicted of apostasy in recent years, but they all escaped execution by recanting their new faith. Religious thinker and politician Mahmoud Mohammed Taha, a critic of Nimeiri and his interpretation of Shariah, was sentenced to death after his conviction of apostasy. He was executed in 1985 at the age of 76.

Mohammed said he intends to appeal Ibrahim's conviction.

"The judge has exceeded his mandate when he ruled that Meriam's marriage was void because her husband was out of her faith," Mohammed told The Associated Press. "He was thinking more of Islamic Shariah laws than of the country's laws and its constitution."
He said Ibrahim's Muslim father left her mother when she was a child and her mother raised her as a Christian.

The court in the capital, Khartoum, also ordered that Ibrahim be given 100 lashes for having what it considers sexual relations with her husband, Daniel Wani, a Christian from southern Sudan who has U.S. citizenship, according to the lawyer and judicial officials who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations. Wani was acquitted of a charge of harboring an apostate, according to another defense lawyer, Eman Abdul-Rahim.

Wani fled to the United States as a child to escape the civil war in southern Sudan but later returned, she said.

Amnesty called the sentence a "flagrant breach of international human rights law."

"The fact that a woman could be sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion, is abhorrent and should never be even considered," Amnesty said in a statement, quoting its Sudan researcher, Manar Idriss.

Ibrahim's case first came to the attention of authorities in August, when members of her father's family complained that she was born a Muslim but married a Christian man.

They claimed that her birth name was "Afdal" and that she changed it to Meriam. Mohammed said the document produced by relatives to show she was given a Muslim name at birth was a fake. Ibrahim refused to answer Judge Abbas Khalifa when he called her "Afdal" during Thursday's hearing. Meriam is a common name for Muslims and Christians alike.

"I was never a Muslim. I was raised a Christian from the start," she said.

Authorities first charged her with having illegitimate sex last year but she remained free pending trial. She was charged with apostasy and jailed in February after she declared in court that Christianity was the only religion she knew.

ENOUGH!! Muslim honoring killing in the United States

Posted on 18 May, 2014 by Dylan
    By Ryan Mauro

Roysce “Yusef” Haynes, a Muslim man in Pennsylvania who admitted to killing his pregnant wife, was recently found guilty of two counts of third-degree murder. Haynes says he did not mean to kill her and it happened due to tension over her not wearing proper Islamic dress.
The couple’s relationship issues started when Haynes’ wife, Atiya Majah Perry, rebuffed his requests to wear religious attire. He blamed her family for influencing her. He eventually kicked her out of the home, admonishing her as “disobedient.” A few days later, she came to the house and he killed her in a fight that ensued.
Haynes said that the death was accidental and that she first began punching him in the head.
“I saw her pull out the pepper spray. I knocked it away from her. I just grabbed her and choked her. I felt her go limp. I just blacked out. The next thing I knew she was dead,” he told detectives.
Her body was discovered inside his home when probation officers visited him.
Haynes’ fury over Perry’s dress is a reflection of the concept of “honor” that is common in Muslim societies. If a female behaves in a way that brings shame to her male partner or family, she is disciplined—often brutally. In this case, it led to a fight with a fatal outcome.

In another honor-related development, a femalePalestina Isa perpetrator of honor violence, Maria Isa, died in a Missouri prison where she lived since 1991. She assisted her husband, Zein Isa, in stabbing their 16-year old daughter to death on November 6, 1989. Zein died before he could be given the death penalty.
The murder was recorded by the FBI because it had Zein Isa under surveillance for his involvement in the Palestine Liberation Organization, which the U.S. government considered a terrorist organization at the time. He specifically belonged to a cell of the Abu Nidal Organization that was plotting to bomb the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C.
Zein Isa and his colleagues talked about killing his daughter, Palestina, since August of 1989. Her offense was dating a boy that they did not approve of and running away from home for three days. Her job at a fast-food restaurant was also a point of contention, as was her hobby of playing soccer and her attendance at the junior prom.
The FBI recorded Zein saying, “There is no way to cleanse her, except the red color that cleanses her” and she “should live under the ground.” Her sisters took part in similar conversations. Another recording shows two of Zein’s terror cell members discussing the need to kill her because “she knows many things,” presumably about their violent plans.
Zein began the attack on an unsuspecting Palestina by saying to her, “Here, listen, my dear daughter, do you know that this is the last day. Tonight, you’re going to die.”
Maria grabbed hold of her hair to restrain her as she cried, “Mother, please help me!”
Maria’s response was, “Are you going to listen? Are you going to listen?” Zein then stabbed her six times, muffling her cries by placing his foot on her mouth.
“Quiet, little one! Die my daughter, die!” Zein said in Arabic.
Zein and Maria claimed that Palestina was likely on drugs or drunk and used the knife to demand $5,000 from them. Zein claims he grabbed her arm holding the weapon and “directed the knife toward her to stab her until she fell down.”
The New York Times reported on October 28, 1991 that “an agitated family member” expressed disagreement with the guilty verdict for Zein and Maria Isa saying, “I feel it’s not right. We follow our religion.”
These two cases show how honor violence has already come to America. The same anger and perceived shame that triggered the death of Palestina Isa in 1989 triggered the death of Atiya Marrah Perry in 2012.
We must never forget the fate of these two innocent women. Their murders must be a rallying call against the abusive concept of “honor” in order to save potential victims in the future.
