Hollywood is Sick & Perverted

In today’s Hollywood, everything is upside-down. Everything good is depicted as bad and everything bad is good. Deviant behavior is celebrated, while upstanding and decent people are scoffed at, derided, and mocked as buffoons.
The cool people use drugs, commit crime, cheat on their loved ones and engage in the most selfish, reckless and sociopathic behavior. While the people who attend services, play by the rules, live clean lives or have the temerity to honor their elders are depicted as ignorant chumps, or uptight and close-minded zealots.
In television and films, the Liberals and Democrats are almost always the compassionate and humanitarian heroes, while the conservative and Republican characters are the greedy, destructive and bigoted oppressors.
The irony is, when you speak to people who actually have spent some time working in the entertainment business, they’ll describe to you an industry rife with avarice, misogyny and prejudice…
Phony and deceptive bookkeeping practices in Hollywood are so legendary and prevalent, that even favorite son Michael Moore recently felt compelled to sue his producers for his fair share of profits – although what a self-described anti-Capitalist cares about evil profits, I don’t know…
Actresses both successful and unknown routinely describe the prevailing atmosphere in Hollywood as one of harassment and intimidation. In August of 2011, former child star Corey Feldman made a stunning confession to ABC News; saying “I can tell you that the No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia. That’s the biggest problem for children in this industry – the big secret.”
Three years later, in 2014 the LA Times reported that “X-Men” director Bryan Singer had been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting teenage actor Michael Egan, who claims he was forced into a “sordid sex ring” in the entertainment industry in which underage boys were supplied alcohol and drugs.
And sadly, over the past twenty-five years, the lion’s share of studio films about war much too often depict our military as deceptive, power hungry, fascist and expansionist, and the American soldier as bloodthirsty and murderous occupiers.
Gone are the days when stars would proudly go off to war and stand shoulder to shoulder with their less famous brothers in arms, fighting for our freedoms, liberty and the American way of life. Gone are the family viewing hours when parents and their children could sit around the television and not be exposed to an onslaught of immoral and explicit behavior, graphic violence and vulgar language.
And gone are the weekends where it was simple to find a movie or four or five to drop the kids off to watch without fear of them being corrupted or worse.
So what happened? The hippies grew up and took over. They’re not Commies, they’re just pot-smoking, long-haired hippies who are angry with the world, anti-American and largely hypocritical.
Okay, some of them are Commies, but the vast majority are just looking for attention as they have been their whole lives. Hippies yearn for the glory days of the ’60s when Vietnam provided an exciting social life to a generation drugged-out and obsessed with cheap-sex and playing make-believe revolution. Now some of them are in charge and can’t wait for a real life flashback.
I was thinking what a big difference there is in today’s hippie vs. yesterday’s hippie. In the 60’s and 70’s, hippies were really patriotic and loved their country and the opportunities and freedoms that America afforded. They protested for things like civil rights and equal opportunity. They sewed the flag on their jeans jackets. Cool.
They marched arm in arm with Republicans and admired spiritual leaders like Martin Luther King and Jesus Christ. And they hated the Vietnam War. It didn’t matter if the president was Lyndon Johnson or Richard Nixon; they hated what the war was doing to this country. It wasn’t about being a liberal or a conservative; it wasn’t about winning or losing an election; it was about an unjust and ill conceived war, and the inordinate number of poor people being shot and rich people not being shot.
… God, I’m glad I’m not a Hippie now… Did I say “Hippie?”… I meant “Democrat.”
Back to Hollywood: Perhaps the recent success of Bible-based projects like “Noah” or “The Bible” mini-series will launch more family friendly, spiritual, religious oriented projects into development, but it’s tough because the lion’s share of Hollywood absolutely despises the fact that it did so well, and they write it off to dumbass MidWesterners clinging to their guns and religion.
If regular Americans knew just how contemptuous Hollywood is of them, no one would watch TV or go to the movies. Make no mistake – Hollywood thinks you’re stupid. They think you can be manipulated into following them down the rabbit hole and to a certain degree they’re right about that when it comes to kids:
The smokers are cool, the kids who stay in and study are secretly evil. If a kid hears that enough, they start believing it. Just look how many Apple products have been sold because the Mac owner is the cool guy in the commercial. But look just underneath and you’ll see he’s purchased a slower, less powerful, higher priced item which doesn’t communicate efficiently with 74% of the rest of the world.
Movies and television are the same in this respect. The ne’er-do-wells who scoff at any suggestion they follow the law or any sort of moral compass turn out to be the winners at the end of the movie. But in real life, they’re out of step with 74% of the rest of us.
