    I have spoken with my senators office, Gordon Smith (I used to claim him, before he voted for this). I told them that he lost my vote, along with many other republican Oregonians this week. Although Jeff Merkley, his incumbent, would have voted against this bill, it is hard for me to want to vote for him either, he supports some issues I simply cannot stand behind.

    Guys, I just explained this to my 15 year old son, and who is paying and essentially how long it will take (his generation, maybe even plus), his eyebrows went up and his dismay showed.

    I feel sick, it has been an awful week all around.
