    India's Opinion of Lou Dobbs

It's pretty simply, really. Freedom is a great thing, unless it begins to irritate the people who have all the money and power. That is, freedom for the masses is good, as long as the masses don't start to make decisions that cause consternation in the minds of pseudo-intellectual, socialist lefties like Lou Dobbs.

If a man owns a business, but only has 10 dollars to pay a worker per hour, and someone wants to work for that wage, he should be free to hire that person if he wants to. If someone else wants 15 bucks an hour, then that guy simply can't be hired. And if someone forces that small business owner to hire the guy who wants 15 bucks per hour, then unfortunately he won't be able to hire anyone, and his business will suffer, and not grow.

Either way, Lou Dobbs and other Communist sympathizers want to to dictate just who that business owner can hire, and what he should pay him, because if he doesn't "tow the line," then he is "anti-American worker" and is "exporting jobs" to cheap or foreign labor, and thereby, in Lou Dobb's own words, "threatens not only millions of workers and their families, but also the American way of life."

Well, the American way of life was, and always has been, premised on a decent job for a decent day's pay, with no interference from anyone else. That's called freedom. Lou's method is called socialism, if not fascism or Communism, wherein the state through its government controls everyone's wages.

What happened to letting market forces dictate wages, Lou? What happened to laissez-faire economics, Lou? What happened to capitalism, and letting the hungry work hard to get rich, while the fat and lazy sink to the bottom where they rightfully belong? See the movie, Giant, starring James Dean for a reference.

Who are you, Lou, to dictate what the average American wage should be? Shouldn't fat, lazy Americans with an overblown sense of entitlement just move to France, where they can be part of that socialist fabric, where their wages would be guaranteed to be crappy? We don't need them here in America, Lou.

If Adam Smith could hear you, Lou, he would be spinning in his grave. You are a discredit to American capitalism, and may just be the sad, awful and inevitable result of too much food, comfort, and leisure time that comes with being an affluent American after living here for many generations. Hell, you are becoming British, or even worse, French.

Move to socialist Europe, Lou. The Wild, Wild West of America is too tough for you to stomach anymore.

What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

Whoever wrote that obviously does not understand the concepts in which they write. Trying to stop our jobs from being exported has nothing to do with Socialism, communism or defining wages. Get a clue.

Last night while listening to Michael Savage talk specifically about this and how so many jobs are outsourced to India and discussing President Bush's trip to India, the phone rang. It was Bellsouth calling to offer a special.

I picked up the phone and I heard ringing, then a voice responded to my second "hello". I immediately knew the call was coming from India because of the guy's accent.

I was about to say "no thankyou" and just hang up, but I said to myself wait a minute ask him a few questions. I asked, "Where are you calling from?" "He said with a slight hesitation, "India". I said, "Oh, how is President Bush doing over there ?" He laughed a little and just said,"yes".

I was trying to think of what I wanted to say, and I was about to say, ""Do US a favor, and keep him over there. We don't want him back, you can have him!" But something made me bite my tongue.
I thought this guy might freak out and call the India FBI or something.

I told my husband and he laughed. I said I should have told him to tell President Bush we're going to IMPEACH him upon his arrival back here !!

Anyway, I just couldn't pull my thoughts together fast enough to say anything good.

I didn't know Bellsouth was using India. By the way, they better watch their clocks over there because I'm almost positive that it was about 9:10 PM when he called.

Can you imagine if I could have thought fast enough to have gotten into a real conversation with him and told him about GWB's approval ratings over here and all the "trouble" he's in with US ? And then if I had really told him that he might be impeached ? God only knows how far that could have spread through word of mouth, especially since the people of India were probably a little focused on him.

I don't know. I thought of all that afterwards. Maybe it's better that I wasn't thinking too fast. Something just stopped me. It was probably my Americanism that told me that it just wouldn't be right for me to.

You know....that "Americanism" that GWB calls "racism".

    LegalUSCitizen,

His "Americanized" English, and his "Americanized" name were supposed to fool you.

What do you expect from people who only recently are getting paved roads instead of cow paths?

It's like a guy at work I know from India. He seems to really dislike America, and on top of that he told me that most people in India (including himself) believe that GWB was behind 9/11.

Then there's another guy I know from Haiti and he downright dislikes to an extreme GWB and it seems America in general.

I just don't get it, and George Bush and company wonders WHY Americans are feeling a strong desire to be so called "protectionists".

I just don't understand. All I can say is that they are SO out of touch with what is happening out here in the real world, that they don't know the truth about what is happening in America, or they know and it doesn't matter.

I'm sorry if I wasn't focusing on Lou Dobbs in my posts, it's just that the story brought these things to the surface.

I know there are some wonderful people here from India, but I know from my life here in South Florida that there are A LOT of people coming to our country who do not have any desire to become an American nor do they have our country's best interest in mind at all. In fact some of them seem that they welcome events which are bad for US.

But apparently our present leadership views these things as not an issue of significant importance. As an American citizen, I strongly disagree.
