Everything’s bigger in Texas.

George W
. and Laura Bush’s sprawling, 1,600-acre estate in Crawford, Texas — dubbed the Western White House — proves the expression true.

The picturesque home and its expertly designed interiors are featured in the current issue of Architectural Digest.

Completed just after W became the 43rd president of the United States in 2001, Prarie Chapel Ranch has hosted several heads of state, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Though George W. and Laura reside primarily in Dallas, the couple frequently travel to Crawford to unwind and spend time with daughters Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager and friends Deedie and Rusty Rose.
