Incredibly Uncomfortable: Megyn Kelly Skewers Ezekiel Emanuel

Ezekiel Emanuel defensively tried to spin his way out of answering Megyn Kelly’s questions in last night’s interview and was thoroughly unsuccessful. Brother of President’s former Chief of Staff and a key architect of Obamacare, Emanuel was instantly defensive and unable to directly answer her.

In the context of this week’s new enrollment numbers and yesterday’s surprise Republican special election win in Florida, Kelly also used some video clips to rebut Emanuel’s assertions. He was flustered and she was entertained.

Three hilarious statements from Emanuel that Kelly would not let him get away with:

  • “No, no; I’m answering the right question.”
  • “We have to go out and sell this better.”
  • “Well, I was in the flow of the conversation.”



The takeaway: enrollments in the healthcare plan are nowhere near the numbers the administration predicted, defenders refuse to consider that their grand plan isn’t working, and electoral consequences from an increasingly unhappy public have already begun.
