ISIS Threat Invoking Christmas Market Attack: 'Retribution' Coming on New Year's Day

ISIS supporters ushered in the holiday season by invoking the 2016 Berlin Christmas market attack and vowing "retribution" to come.
A dozen people were killed in the Dec. 19, 2016, attack when Anis Amri hijacked a truck, killed the Polish driver and plowed it into crowds at the market next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at Breitscheidplatz. Amri was killed four days later during a shootout with police in Italy.
The new poster distributed online superimposed a masked jihadist wielding a bloody knife over a collage of images from the attack. It states that New Year's Day is "the date of retribution."
ISIS-backing media groups and other followers, who form an online support network that creates and disseminates propaganda for recruitment and incitement on behalf of the terror group, waged a significant offensive last year calling for holiday attacks. Everitt Aaron Jameson of Modesto, Calif., pleaded guilty this summer to plotting a Christmas 2017 attack at Pier 39, a popular tourist spot in San Francisco; he loved with a heart on Facebook a poster from ISIS supporters showing Santa overlooking Times Square with a box of dynamite at his side.
Late last month, a prolific ISIS-supporting media group, Al-Abd Al-Faqir, issued two assassination threats against Pope Francis in what could be a revival of last year's holiday push by the terror group for violence against the Vatican and Catholic Church.
After the Berlin Christmas market attack, official ISIS media released video of Amri calling on other Muslims in the West to follow his example.
"We will take revenge. We will take revenge for them, Allah willing. By Allah's permission you will drink from our cup, you will taste our strength. Our drink is bitter, and our strength is great by Allah's permission," Amri said.
"Support this faith. Each of us within their means. Every person should support the faith within their means," he added. "Who can go out should do so. Who can fight at any location, to fight those in Europe, should fight those pigs and crusaders. So each according to their ability."
The State Department currently has Germany on a level 2 travel adivsory -- "exercise increased caution."
"Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, local government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, and other public areas," says the advisory.

Germany's Christmas markets will never be the same. They are better protected than most air bases.

Swedish school bans centuries-old Christian tradition but celebrates Muhammad’s journey to heaven

Saint Lucia Day in Sweden - By Little Adventures / shutterstock.com

Prohibition of the Swedish Christmas tradition Lucia has sparked debate in Sweden. In Motala, the Lucia celebration has been cancelled at Kärrbacken School.
According to preschool manager Anna Karmskog, they want to avoid discrimination, offensive treatment and do not want to “exclude” anyone.

ANPASSAR. Inställt luciafirande är ett förspel till att tona ner julen, kristna högtider, i en anpassning till islam.
Och islamska terrorhinder har nu satts upp i Malmö inför årets julmarknader för att förhindra terrordåd som i Berlin förra året.

It is also seen from an “equality perspective”. Many people buy Lucia costumes for one occasion. It does not feel right to force the parents to buy these, she says.
Furthermore, many children are reported to be anxious and sad in a large crowd, and the “gender perspective” as the children “walk in a row” is questioned. The school has not discussed the cancellation with the parents.
In Mellerud, Åsen’s school decided to boycott the Lucia celebrations altogether, at both primary and middle school. A parent at the school, Ingrid Stewart, believes the ban has to do with religion.
“I suspect it. Everyone does not feel comfortable with Lucia celebrations according to the school. But last week, the school celebrated Muhammad’s journey to heaven without even informing us.”, she says.
Some now say that the cancelled Lucia celebration is a prelude to tone down Christmas to adapt to Islam. Recently, to prevent terror attacks, barriers have also been set up at Christmas Markets in Malmö.

How about just get rid of ALL religion in our schools, workplace and government?

    Nobody celebrates anything!

Celebrate it at your Church, in your home, in your car and KEEP it to yourself!

These FOREIGNERS have ruined our countries, our traditions, our joy, peace and prosperity!

Do a "Spring Break, Summer Break, Fall Break and Winter Break" for time off and do what you want with that time off!

Too much bellyaching, PC, screaming, fighting, yelling about Religion!

German city uses one tonne heavy concrete Christmas trees to counter terror attacks

By Voice of Europe 29 November 2018

    Concrete Christmas trees in Bautzen

As Voice of Europe reported earlier, Germany’s Christmas markets are rapidly changing and will probably never be the same again.
This year the Christmas market in Bautzen will have its anti-terror upgrade. One tonne heavy concrete Christmas trees will be installed as barriers to prevent vehicular attacks.
“The safety of our visitors is very important to us as organisers and we cannot ignore the latent danger situation,” explains mayor Alexander Ahrens.
“And we think the protection tree solution is more elegant than setting up huge concrete blocks,” he adds. But the twelve concrete near the market are controversial for the Greens, a far-left German party.
“For me, this is completely superfluous actionism.” “This is fear mongering for Bautzen as no security warnings of the authorities are known of,” says councillor Claus Gruhl (59) of the Greens.
The maker of the protection trees also sparked discussions. Because the idea for this was in the spring of Bautzen-based construction giant Hentschke Bau.
The CEO, Jörg Drews, is known for lashing out against migrants, the system, the EU and the lying press, said city councillor Gruhl.
Ahrens comments: “CEO Jörg Drews is not without controversy with his political statements in the city, but I think it is a mistake in principle to link business relations with a company to the political opinion of the managing director.”
Whether the concrete trees can stop a truck attack, is questionable as the company’s CEO could not be reached on Tuesday. The Wenceslas Market in Bautzen opens on Friday.

Allahu Akbar shouting man waving hatchet threatens people at German Christmas market

By Voice of Europe 2 December 2018

    Christmas market in Germany - S. Borisov / shutterstock.com

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on Saturday after threatening people at a Christmas market in Witzenhausen, Germany.
Around 8:30 pm the police received several phone calls about a man with a hatchet walking along the pavement in the direction of the local Christmas market.

After arriving, the man brandished the hatchet and repeatedly shouted “Allahu Akbar”. Numerous people left the Christmas market having been threatened by the aggressive man.

According to police the man is a 38-year-old foreign citizen from Bornhagen, who was heavily intoxicated. Fortunately, he didn’t injure anyone.
After brandishing the hatchet, the man left the grounds of the Christmas market and climbed onto a bicycle.
The aggressive perpetrator was later arrested in the pedestrian zone. The public prosecutor from Kassel is involved in the investigation into the incident at the Christmas market.

Germany gives top security job to official who thought Christmas market terrorist was ‘harmless’

    By Stan M 5 December 2018

Jutta Porzucek is to take over management of department one of the police in Berlin. She became infamous for failing to see the danger Anis Amri presented, the man responsible for killing 12 people in a vehicular terror attack at the Christmas market in Berlin on 19 December 2016.
She would be the second woman holding a top position in the security services. Jutta Porzucek is to replace the current manager of department one of Reinickendorf/Pankow in Berlin responsible for 638,000 residents.
Since 2015 she had been in charge of roughly 500 employees in the fifth department in the security services. After the attack she was called as a witness to testify in front of the House of Representatives.

During her testimony, Porzucek made clear that she believed there was little risk coming from Amri in strong contrast to her colleague from North-Rhine-Westphalia.
In police circles her promotion as the head of around 1700 police officers is seen as an “interesting staff development”.
It is unclear what kind of message this move sends to families of the victims to promote the person, who failed to protect their loved ones.
