John Berlau to Moneynews: Inflation, Joblessness to Soar on Fed's QE3

The Fed’s third round of quantitative easing (QE) — bond purchases from banks that stimulate the economy — might backfire and send inflation rates soaring and unemployment rates along with them, a dreaded condition known as stagflation, said John Berlau, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. “By creating uncertainty about the dollar, it will have the bad inflation effect at the same time it doesn’t bring back the economy,” he told Newsmax.TV.
