On Jon Stewart Bill Clinton Calls Out the Tea Party
Former President Clinton was talking about voter anger and the political climate this year, when he discussed the Tea Party and called their followers pawns in a larger game. Clinton said, “If this election is about voter anger, which I’ve already said is legitimate. Like even a lot of those Tea Party people, I mean the folks that are following. I don’t mean the leaders. They think. [b]They’re mad at everybody. Their mad at the big corporations, they’re mad at the big banks, they’re mad at big government, they think the little guy gets the shaft, and that’s largely been true, but they are pawns in a larger game, because what the Boston Tea Party was about, it was a protest against abuse of government power. What this Tea Party, the people that are funding this Tea Party are trying to weaken the government, at a moment when people are queasy about the government, because there was nobody else to step in when the economy was flat, so that they can have unaccountable private power.â€

Who could have guessed even five years ago, that the biggest threats to American freedom are not Islamic extremists, but a bunch of our fellow Americans running around with tea bags on their heads?
So now I, and millions of others like me are the biggest threat to American freedom?? I'm speechless.
..................Let me just say this..................
Clinton and other elitists like him DID NOT HEED THE WARNING and will now pay dearly in November...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

This is why we are having our own rally. We are protesting the fact that people no longer think for themselves. Back when the Ron Paul Tea Party started, I was behind it. However, as soon as Beck the right wing messiah took over I knew what would happen. The RNC would trick you into believing that you are supporting candidates that have your interests in mind, when in reality they don't. The Repubs and dems have proved that the only thing they care about is the money that gets put in their pockets by corporations and lobbyists. Many Americans like me are TIRED of the incompetence on BOTH sides, and we refuse to accept it anymore. Just accept it....you have been hoodwinked. The sooner you realize it the sooner we can all move on and kick these a-holes to the curb!Don't think about all the things you fear, just be glad you're here.

DarthIllegal, is this your concern: When people run from socialism that they end up running into the arms of fascism?
Any comfort on either end is less than desirable in my book.
Keep in mind that the Tea Parties are opening the proverbial can of worms.

After Waco I would hope nobody comes to the defense of Clinton.
When the ATF surrounded the Waco compound(?) where were the Americans surrounding the ATF?

Did you read the story and see why? You are protesting AGAINST freedom, but you think you're not. You are funded by the RNC. Why do you refuse to see that?

The Tea Party is a grassroots movement of Americans sick of government running roughshod over them, entering into every facet of their lives and looking out only for themselves.
You are proving my point. It USED to be a grassroots organization. Ever since you let FOX and the republican party take over, all you are doing is protesting the interests of lobbyists and corporations. How can you not see that, after all the EVIDENCE (you know, proof) that what I am saying is the truth?
Also, you guys think I want "fascism and socialism." Do you have ANYTHING else other than what FOX has told you to say? That is what a healthy debate comes down to? You might as well finish me off and call me Hitler!
Here's an idea since I am obviously wrong here. Can someone show me proof that FOX, RNC, and the tea party is NOT affiliated? All I want is some debate on this once and for all without people getting off topic.Don't think about all the things you fear, just be glad you're here.
