DOJ Stops the Top IRS Scandal Investigator from Testifying Before Congress

Ironically enough, there is no justice to be found in Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice. He refuses to allow the lead IRS scandal investigator to testify before Congress.
This news comes shortly after the government’s internal “investigation” — led by a very generous Obama donor — found that there was nothing illegal about using the Internal Revenue Service to single out Tea Party organizations for political gain.
President Obama can claim the IRS’ attack on conservative groups is “phony,” but it is his administration’s string of actions that breeds our skepticism of corruption. As such, this case is just more proof we need special investigators of this scandal if we expect justice to prevail.

Capitol City Project reports:
The attorney leading the investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) targeting of tea party groups will not be allowed to testify at an oversight hearing Thursday after being requested by a congressman, according to reports.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) asked Justice attorney Barbara Bosserman to appear on Feb. 6, 2014. Rep. Jordan received a response from Deputy Attorney General James Cole saying she would not be appearing. [...]
Rep. Jordan wrote back to Deputy Attorney General Cole asking him to reconsider.
“The committee recognizes that there may be particular law-enforcement aspects of the investigation that the department is unwilling to discuss publicly. However, there is no legitimate basis for a blanket refusal to answer questions about an apparent conflict of interest and the overall integrity of the investigation,” Jordan wrote.
Last Sunday, Obama said there was not a “smidgen of corruption” surrounding the IRS scandal. Unfortunately for his narrative, the evidence suggests otherwise.
If you agree there needs to be a special, independent investigation of the Internal Revenue Service — one that is not tainted by the corrupt Obama Administration — help us spread the word by sharing this article on Facebook and Twitter.
