    Canada, Green Party: Renegotiate NAFTA

Renegotiate NAFTA, new Green party leader says
Last Updated Sat, 26 Aug 2006 19:31:59 EDT
    CBC News

The new leader of the Green Party of Canada has called on the government to give notice to the U.S. that it wants to end the free-trade deal.

Elizabeth May, winner of the Green party's leadership convention, at the moment the results of the vote were announced. (CBC) That threat could be used as a lever to improve the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Elizabeth May told cheering delegates in her acceptance speech Saturday.

May, elected with 65 per cent of the votes at Saturday's convention, said NAFTA works for the U.S., but not for Canada.

Alluding to the Conservative government's recent proposed settlement of the long-running softwood lumber dispute, May said Prime Minister Stephen Harper has demonstrated that "if you push us hard enough, we'll finally say 'uncle.' "

While Canada has won many legal rounds in the softwood fight, the government opted for a negotiated solution.

"We're not against trade, " but it must be fair, May said.

    'Cancer epidemic'

She also said the party would focus on the prevalence of cancer: "This country and all of North America is in the midst of a cancer epidemic that nobody wants to talk about."

She also took on economic growth, comparing it with the way cancer spreads. "Unlimited economic growth is the ideology of the cancer cell."

And she said the idea that Canada cannot meet its Kyoto targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions is "the big lie."

May criticized U.S. spending on nuclear weapons and its budget deficit, which some analysts fear could destabilize the world economy.

Every country says if the US goes down, it will affect world economy, yet they seem to want us to go down!

I'm getting really tired of the USA being constantly criticized by other countries, yet they turn around and want something from us.

I say stop all trade pacts, end globalization and get our jobs back here!
Do not vote for Party this year, vote for America and American workers!

This is actually good news! Unfortunately Mexico is not going to want to negotiate and May missed the point the only country this is good for is Mexico. If she wants to preserve her nation she needs to cancel all trade agreements put guards on the border and shut down this disastrous end game.

It is not the United States that people hate it is the consecutively bad administrations (puppets for the U.N. and CFR) that they hate and with just cause! The American people are nothing more than a crop of mushrooms to this and past administrations. We were kept in the dark, fed BS and we are about to be harvested!

You want to stop the trade agreements then you are going to have to get up off the couch and wake up this nation before the blood runs in the streets and you are all under martial law locked in your houses waiting for the "savior" big government to save you.

The world economy is already affected! Every other country in the world that is involved with the U.N. and its banker cadre is bankrupt already. The governments are either complicit in or blackmailed into complying with the whims of a few people who come up with an idea and hire academics to sell it.

Our economy is destined to collapse by design. The United States will bankrupt itself again in little more than ten years from the last one. The world economy will collapse.

UNLESS you unify all protesting groups into one big lobby (as La Raza has done) You WILL loose your homes… be advised they are already forfeited you just don't know it!

You WILL find it even more impossible to find work and therefore food and YOU will revisit our history of the Great Depression. In desperation to survive the people WILL accept any bone tossed to them including slavery!

THEY want all people in this country and other strong (used to be) nations to be vulnerable. THIS IS BY DESIGN!!! Then they present the solution... one world government. You be the slaves -- they be the owners of a great heard of economic units blindly accepting taxation without representation!

I just hope enough people put the pieces of the puzzle together before it is too late. I have and continue to educate as many people as I can about the CFR, the UN, The Federal Reserve and the like, but it is taking too much time. They want their Great Plan implemented by 2010.
