LIBERAL WASTELAND: Homelessness in Los Angeles Jumps 16 Percent in a Year!

City officials are baffled by the increase as the streets look more and more like a third-world country.

The homelessness problem in Los Angeles is worsening, for the city as well as the county. The city of LA reported a 16 percent increase in their homeless population in one year with a corresponding 12 percent increase in LA County. In the city, there are 36,000 homeless residents while there are a total of 59,000 residing in the county. This includes those living in the streets, in homeless shelters, and in their vehicles. Around 75 percent of those listed are living outside, causing a public health crisis.“At this point of unprecedented wealth in the county of Los Angeles, we are equally confronted with unprecedented poverty manifesting itself in the form of homelessness,” Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas said to the Los Angeles Times.
LA Mayor Eric Garcetti believes the issue is “heartbreaking” but intends to throw even more money at the problem. The city is pledging an additional investment of $42 million toward more public services, which will likely attract more homeless people to benefit from them.

“This work has never been for the faint of heart, and we cannot let a set of difficult numbers discourage us, or weaken our resolve,” Garcetti said to the Times.
City officials had believed that the 2017 Measure H sales tax revenue would take people off the streets and from shelters into permanent housing, but the exact opposite effect has apparently occurred.“Last year’s count, we felt we were trimming in a way that would suggest we were getting our arms around this,” Ridley-Thomas said. “And yet this year we are pretty well stunned by this data.”Activists in the community are growing frustrated with liberal city officials, screaming slogans during Tuesday’s supervisor meeting such as “Shame on you!” and “That’s an undercount!”
Peter Lynn, who works as executive director of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, points to skyrocketing rents and housing costs as factors for causing the surge in the homeless population.“If we don’t change the fundamentals of housing affordability, this is going to be a very long road,” Peter Lynn told the Times. “If we don’t get ahead of affordability, we’re going to be very hard pressed to get ahead of homelessness.”
“Overall, the service portion of the effort on mental health, substance use, the issue of housing, rent subsidies, those are important and we should stay the course,” Ridley-Thomas said. “Where we have to work much harder is in the area of affordable housing.”
LA County is not alone in dealing with this problem, as it is an epidemic across California. Orange County reported a 43 percent increase in homelessness from its last recorded count in 2017. Ventura, San Bernardino and Kern counties have seen increases of 20 percent or more in their homeless populations.
California as a whole is suffering the burden of liberal governance, as continued subsidies for the homeless population combined with
burdensome regulations that prevent sufficient job growth
will only cause the problem to worsen as they deal with theconsequences of their impending bankruptcy

These stupid college kids will regret this. Wait until YOU are 50-60 years old. You will be wallowing in debt living next door to the foreigners from hell with nowhere to go and mommy and daddy will be gone.

Stop listening to crusty old Bernie Sanders, and the thief Biden, who got rich off taxpayer money and lying Pocahontas!

Give these snowflakes a field trip to the ghettos of Oakland, Baltimore, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, the Florida overrun, overbreeding, ghettos of foreigners and open their eyes!

The Decline & Fall Of Illinois

Authored by Randy Rossi via IllinoisReveiew.com,

Anybody who has read the famous book “The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” had to be amazed that the most powerful empire on Earth at the time committed suicide “Through the insidious poison of free bread and circuses” as Edward Gibbon explained.
Today we would call that “poison” government welfare and the government’s endorsement and support of immoral activity like making pot legal and increasing abortions which is just like the Roman gladiator games which slaughtered tens of thousands of humans for fun and entertainment.

Eventually Romans quit working and focused on that immoral behavior and brought in Barbarians to do the work for them right up until Rome became bankrupt and the Barbarians took over. Any rational person has to ask “How could the Roman people and Roman politicians be so stupid?”
Now scroll 1600 years later and we are watching the people and politicians of Illinois following Rome’s path to suicide. Illinois is the most bankrupt state in America with the lowest bond ratings of any state.

We are also the most corrupt state in the Union according to the FBI.
And residents and businesses of Illinois are fleeing the state because of our insanely high real estate taxes which are crushing the value of our homes. The key to this bankruptcy and corruption is a repeat of Rome’s “Insidious poison of free bread and circuses." Alex de Tocqueville warned us of this disaster when he said “Democracy can exist up to the point when politicians realize that they can bribe people with their own money."

Illinois Democrats have been giving away welfare to addict the people of Illinois to free stuff to get reelected for decades and now the bill is due. Hoping to distract the people of Illinois, they want to make pot legal and get extremely liberal women to vote for them by making Illinois the abortion capital of America. Killing humans in gladiator games in Rome is not as bad as killing 62 million human babies through abortion!

One would think that honest and responsible politicians in Illinois would focus their attention on correcting these critical problems and saving Illinois from disaster right? Nope. Illinois politicians have focused on making pot legal and making late term abortions right up to birth legal while also trying to raise taxes to provide more “ Free bread and circuses” to the masses. Brilliant right? Sounds exactly like what the Roman Empire’s politicians did right up until the tragic collapse of the Rome.
It is easy to blame our corrupt Democrat politicians in Illinois for this disaster but I am sorry to say that we have to hold ourselves accountable for this disaster. “We the people” voted in these horribly destructive politicians either by voting for them or by not bothering to do our duty and vote. This is perfect proof of Edward Burke’s warning about apathy when he said “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”. The percentage of voters in Illinois who don’t bother to vote at this critical time is simply stunning.
There is only one way to change Illinois’ path to collapse and that is to “flush the toilet” in Springfield” and replace these corrupt politicians with honest politicians that care more about our state then being reelected and making more money at your and your kid’s expense. To keep reelecting these corrupt Illinois politicians is the perfect example of Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”. Reelecting the same Democrats that put us at the edge of disaster would be insane! As Einstein also said “You can’t solve a problem with the same kind of thinking that created it”.
The state of Illinois is on the brink of disaster and in an emergency and “tough love” is required.

Let’s hope that Republicans step up at this critical time and aggressively explain how much danger Illinois is in thanks to Democrats and how they can get us back to the path of prosperity. And then “We the people” need to do our jobs and vote intelligently to save “The Land of Lincoln”.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Three Los Angeles police officers who work at a station in the San Fernando Valley have been infected with the superbug known as MRSA.
CBS2 reports Tuesday the outbreak started a few days ago at the West Valley station in Reseda and possibly resulted from interacting with homeless people.
MRSA is an antibiotic-resistant Staph bacteria.
The Police Department says in a statement that the officers are being cared for and all work areas of the police station that may have been exposed have been disinfected.

"The Skid Is Everywhere" And We Just Got Confirmation That The Worst Is Yet To Come

Unfortunately, most Americans are still completely in denial about what is happening, and they will find themselves ill-prepared to handle the very harsh economic environment that is ahead...

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

All over America, large portions of our major cities are being transformed into stomach-churning cesspools of squalor.
Thousands of tens cities are popping up from coast to coast as the homeless population explodes, even the New York Times admits that we are facing “the worst drug crisis in American history”, there were more than 28,000 official complaints about human feces in the streets of San Francisco last year alone, and millions of rats are currently overrunning the city of Los Angeles. And yet the authorities continue to insist that the economy is in good shape and that everything is going to be just fine.

Perhaps everything may seem “just fine” if you live in a heavily sanitized wealthy suburban neighborhood and you only get your news from heavily sanitized corporate media sources, but in the real world things are getting really bad.
The other day, LZ Granderson authored an editorial in which he described what life is like in Los Angeles right at this moment…
LA spent nearly $620 million in tax dollars last year to address the issue, and yet the number of homeless people increased by 16%,reaching nearly 60,000 people.
As a Los Angeles resident, I am among those who wonder what the mayor’s office is doing. When I lived downtown it was virtually impossible to walk a full block in any direction without seeing a homeless person. In Silver Lake where I live now, there are tent cities. On my drive to work I see people living underneath the highway overpasses. It’s no longer Skid Row here. The skid is everywhere.
Of course that phrase, “the skid is everywhere”, could also apply to San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Memphis, Cleveland, Baltimore, Philadelphia and countless other U.S. cities.
But without a doubt, L.A. is particularly disgusting at this point. In fact, last weekend a columnist for the Los Angeles Times admitted that “Los Angeles has become a giant trash receptacle”
A swath of Los Angeles has devolved into a wasteland with rats scurrying among piles of decaying garbage and squalid tent cities, according to a series of stomach-churning photos that the Los Angeles Times says depict the “collapse of a city that’s lost control.”
“The city of Los Angeles has become a giant trash receptacle,” columnist Steve Lopez complained on Sunday.
We are seeing this happen at a time when we are being told that the U.S. economy is still relatively stable.
And I will concede that point. Right now, the U.S. economy is a whole lot more stable than it will be in the months ahead.
So if things are this bad already in our major cities, what are those cities going to look like once we get deep into the next economic downturn?
On Friday, the Labor Department reported that 75,000 jobs were added to the U.S. economy in May. That number is consistent with the extremely disappointing figure that ADP reported a few days earlier, and it is well below the number of jobs that we need just to keep up with population growth each month.
Prior to this latest report, there were already more working age Americans without a job than at any point during the last recession, and now things just got even worse.
But the government conveniently categorizes the vast majority of working age Americans without a job as “not in the labor force”, and so officially the unemployment rate is “very low” right now.
    What a joke.

The truth is that the middle class has been steadily shrinking for an extended period of time, and all of the numbers that have been rolling in seem to indicate that an economic slowdown has begun.
For instance, when economic activity is expanding demand for key industrial resources such as copper, zinc and lumber increases and prices tend to go up.
But when economic activity is contracting, demand for those key industrial resources diminishes and prices tend to go down.
And right now we are seeing prices for copper, zinc and lumber decline precipitiously
Copper prices have fallen 6% in just the past month while zinc is down 8.5%. Copper and zinc are big components for many industrial and technology companies. People pay so much attention to copper as a barometer that traders jokingly call it Dr. Copper, as if it has a PhD in economics.
Lumber prices are falling as well, plunging about 10% in the past month. That could be viewed as a sign that the housing market — particularly new home construction — is weakening.
If you were looking for some exceedingly clear indications of where the U.S. economy is heading in the near future, you just got them.
But most Americans will continue to live in denial until the very end. And even though 59 percent of the population is living paycheck to paycheck, people continue to rack up debt as if there was no tomorrow.
In fact, we just learned that the average size of a new vehicle loan in the U.S. just hit a brand new record high
People buying a new vehicle are borrowing more and paying more each month for their auto loan.
Experian, which tracks millions of auto loans each month, said the average amount borrowed to buy a new vehicle hit a record $32,187 in the first quarter. The average used-vehicle loan also hit a record, $20,137.
People ask me all the time about how they can prepare for the next economic downturn, and one of the key pieces of advice that I always give is to not take on more debt.
Right now everyone should be building up their financial cushions, because what is coming is not a joke.
Unfortunately, most Americans are still completely in denial about what is happening, and they will find themselves ill-prepared to handle the very harsh economic environment that is ahead.

And the cherry on top is the millions and millions of 3rd world, uneducated, over breeders, who will be roaming our streets in packs stealing, raping, robbing and killing us because they have NO means to support themselves.

It will be like the zombie apocalypse!
