President Obama's had a rough summer, from his weak performance in the debt ceiling debate to the daily deluge of bad economic news. Polls show his approval numbers falling. Today, his overall approval number (in the latest Gallup Poll) is a meager 40 percent. That's a ten-point drop since Memorial Day.

Here's another bit of bad news for the President: Gallup reports the President's support among women—a key voting group for any election—has dropped 11 percent in the last three months. http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/gal ... -time-lo-0

Today only 41 percent of women say “they approve of how the President is handling his job.â€

Gallup: Obama’s Approval Hits All-Time Low of 41 Percent Among Women

(CNSNews.com) - Barack Obama defeated Sen. John McCain 56 percent to 43 percent among female voters in the 2008 presidential election, according to the network exit poll, http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/ and Obama’s job performance as president won the support of 70 percent of women early in his tenure.

But Gallup polling last week showed that only 41 percent of women now say they approve of the way Obama is handling his job as president. http://www.gallup.com/poll/124922/Presi ... enter.aspx

That is an all-time low--down from the previous low of 43 percent, which is what Obama’s approval had been among women in each of the previous three weeks.

Obama’s approval has dropped 11 points among women over the past three months. In the last week of May, according to the Gallup poll, the president’s approval among females was at 52 percent.

Obama’s approval among women peaked at 70 percent in the week of Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2009, his first full week in office.

Very stupid! Being a woman, I took great offense to that statement. Being a tea party member, I will be on high alert at future tea party events. I think it may get pretty ugly.
