After the election on Tuesday night, Republican Marth McSally, the first female Air Force member in combat appeared to be the winner over Taliban sympathizer, Kyrsten Sinema.



Martha McSally, US Air Force fighter pilot But not so fast—hundreds of thousands of ballots were still uncounted after the polls closed. And now, it appears as though the Taliban sympathizer has taken the lead.

During a radio interview on libertarian Ernest Hancock’s radio show in 2003, Sinema told the host, “I don’t care” if people join the Taliban and fight against the U.S. military.
Sinema made the comments a day before she helped organize an anti-war rally in Phoenix’s Patriot’s Square Park that condemned “terror” perpetrated by the American military in the Middle East.
“As an individual, if I want to go fight in the Taliban army, I go over there and I’m fighting for the Taliban. I’m saying that’s a personal decision,” Hancock remarked during his show.

“Fine,” Sinema said, “I don’t care if you want to do that, go ahead.”

The Washington Examiner is now reporting that Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema has taken the lead in the Arizona Senate race in new numbers released by the state Thursday night, flipping the race from what had appeared to be a GOP hold.
Republican Martha McSally led the vote after the polls closed Tuesday, but hundreds of thousands of ballots were still uncounted, officials said.
As the count comes in, Ms. Sinema has overcome a sizable gap.
The latest numbers give her 914,243 votes to Ms. McSally’s 912,137. Earlier in the day the tally had stood at 856,848 for Ms. McSally and 839,775 for Ms. Sinema.

Yeah, I heard about this yesterday and thought, OH NO, but then Fox did some follow up reporting and there's apparently around 500,000 ballots from both Dem and Rep districts that haven't been counted yet, so when a Dem area comes in like it did yesterday, Sinema is going to get more votes, then when a Rep district comes in, McSally will get more votes, so it's going to go back and forth until all those ballots are counted. Sure hope McSally wins in the end.
