The Obama Administration is Set to Declare War on You…

Posted by Michael Becker on Aug 16, 201

For the past six years the Obama administration has made us wish a number of things. One of them is that we owned a company called Curmudgeon Ammunition. The Feds have been buying ammo like sailors on port leave buy booze. It’s like they were planning for a war or something, and the agencies doing the buying aren’t who you might think.

Add the U.S. Postal Service to the list of federal agencies seeking to purchase what some Second Amendment activists say are alarmingly large quantities of ammunition.

Earlier this year, the USPS posted a notice on its website, under the heading “Assorted Small Arms Ammunition,” that says: “The United States Postal Service intends to solicit proposals for assorted small arms ammunition. If your organization wishes to participate, you must pre-register. This message is only a notification of our intent to solicit proposals.”
Excuse me? The fricking US Postal Service? We don’t trust USPS with important mail, let alone with guns. Seriously. Oh,and then there’s these guys.

A little more than a year ago, the Social Security Administration put in a request for 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow-point” bullets.

Before that, it was the Department of Agriculture requesting 320,000 rounds. More recently, the Department of Homeland Security raised eyebrows with its request for 450 million rounds — at about the same time the FBI separately sought 100 million hollow-point rounds.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration also requested 46,000 rounds.

The Social Security Administration? What, are they afraid some seniors are going to get their checks late and storm the place? The Department of Agriculture? NOAA? Please.

Let’s try for some perspective on what the US Government is buying.
To provide some perspective, experts estimate that at the peak of the Iraq war American troops were firing around 5.5 million rounds per month. At that rate, the [Department of Homeland Security] is armed now for a 24-year Iraq war.
A 24 year year Iraq war. And it would be fought by a sizable force.
There are currently more than 70 different federal law enforcement agencies employing over 120,000 officers with arrest and firearms authority … about one in seven law enforcement officers in the country works directly for the federal government, not a local jurisdiction.

If that doesn’t give you cause for concern, how about this.

There hasn’t been any media coverage of this, from the time of this speech in 2008 until today. Why? Do you think that the press is so sure that “the most transparent administration in history” wouldn’t dare do anything like build a “civilian army” of federal “law enforcement officers” under the radar it doesn’t justify some investigative reporting?

With every passing day the Curmudgeons are more convinced that the Obama administration is the biggest threat to national security and individual liberty the nation has ever faced. Ever.
