The man who profited from gain-of-function research went on to commandeer an authoritarian narrative and coordinate a censorship campaign to assist in the cover-up of SARS-CoV-2 origins

Before the coronavirus pandemic made its way to America, a band of 27 scientists appeared to have everything figured out concerning the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Their consensus was published in the Lancet on February 19, 2020.
In the letter, the scientists agreed that COVID-19 was a natural virus that crossed over from wildlife to humans. But they didn’t simply promote their hypothesis, and they didn’t have any plan to test its merit. Instead, they demanded that the rest of the scientific community agree with their suppositions. They condemned any further research or investigation into laboratory origins of SARS-CoV-2. They infamously wrote that they "strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin."
Anyone who asked questions about the alleged causative agent and the unknowns surrounding a natural animal reservoir for the virus were considered “spreaders of misinformation.” The scientists in the letter condemned further questioning: "The rapid, open and transparent sharing of data on this outbreak is now being threatened by rumours and misinformation around its origins."
February 2020 Lancet letter, crafted by Daszak, formed the basis of censorship and coverup of COVID-19 origins

That infamous Lancet letter became a narrative that was replayed over and over by the corporate media. On social media, any questions, dissent or evidence to the contrary was “fact-checked” and regarded as conspiracy theory. Scientists, doctors and various individuals were blacklisted, their concerns forbade in the realm of discussion.
No one was allowed to question the actions of Anthony Fauci at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) who approved grants for coronavirus gain-of-function research and oversaw the operations. No one was allowed to question Dr. Peter Daszak at Eco Health Alliance. This was the very organization that received NIH grants and off-shored gain-of-function experiments in China. These experiments included work on pathogens of pandemic potential – research that was previously banned in the U.S. Scientists in the U.S. and China were supposedly enhancing the transmissibility and lethality of coronaviruses to develop countermeasures for future pandemics, which included mRNA experiments that transcribed their spike protein sequences into the cells of humans.
Daszak tried to conceal his authoritarian role that assisted in the coverup of COVID-19 origins

Thanks to the courageous work of the attorneys at U.S. Right to Know, we know that behind the scenes, these 27 scientists were being ordered to agree with this narrative that COVID-19 was of natural origin. At the helm of this coverup effort was a man named Dr. Peter Daszak – the same guy who, for years, exploited U.S. moratoriums on gain-of-function research, and profited from this unethical field.
If Dr. Daszak was behind gain-of-function research in China, why was he considered the ultimate authority on the origins of COVID-19 in the first place? He is a potential suspect in global crimes against humanity. However, he remains as a member of the World Health Organization ‘s team of experts tracing the novel coronavirus’s origins, and is part of the Lancet COVID 19 Commission.
An investigation into Daszak’s communications at the time reveals that he tried to coverup his own authoritarian role in pushing the Lancet propaganda and covering up the origins of SARS-CoV-2. In one of his emails, Daszak said he intended the Lancet letter to “not be identifiable as coming from any one organization or person.” Daszak wrote that he wanted “to avoid the appearance of a political statement.”
In the investigation, many of the scientists who signed the Lancet letter considered masking their role in crafting and agreeing with the letter. In one of his emails, Daszak wrote that by leaving their names off the statement, it would give “some distance from us and therefore doesn’t work in a counterproductive way.”
To legitimize the coverup narrative, Daszak reached out to two colleagues – Ralph Baric and Linfa Wang – who are also suspects in gain-of-function research. Daszak told them about the Lancet letter, urging them to sign it, but in a way that conceals their identity. “We’ll then put it out in a way that doesn’t link it back to our collaboration so we maximize an independent voice,” Daszak wrote.
The architects behind these deadly global experiments must be brought into the light. The investigation is ongoing.
