On his Friday show, syndicated talk show host Mark Levin said that a Republican congressman is attempting to persuade one of his affiliates to remove his show from the airwaves.

Although Levin would not offer the congressman’s name on air, he has been a vocal critic of various members of the House Republican leadership in the past. But Levin called the situation “fascism.”

“Well, it has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there who doesn’t like what I’ve been saying,” Levin said. “It has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there, a fairly powerful one, who doesn’t like what I’m saying about him. And you know what this Republican congressman wants to do about it, Mr. Producer? He wants our major affiliate in his district where my program is heard to remove my show. This Republican congressman, who is fairly powerful, is sliming around in the background, in the shadows trying to get my show removed from one of the major radio stations in his district. Know what they call that, Mr. Producer? They call that fascism.”

Later Levin, author of “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America,” said the unnamed legislator’s actions were grounds for a lawsuit.

“I’d hate to sue him, too,” Levin said. “You know, tortious interference with my business relationships — you’re not immune from that. You know, if you’re going around acting like Al Capone — not as tough as Al Capone, but sliming around in the shadows, that’s not protected by the debate clause in the Constitution, congressman. You’re too stupid to know that. I’m just letting you know. It’s you against me in civil court. See how that works? Just letting you know. Stop trying to put the shoulder on people to drop my program in your district.”
