The Newsboys are one of my favorite bands.

Check out their vids and if any of you like them and are near Loveland CO you could see them tomorrow. I wish they were playing near me tomorrow. They are definitely my top favorite contemporary Christian group.

Colorado was the home of the Christian ska band Five Iron Frenzy. I got to hear them live (and a bunch of other local bands) at a Christian college one new years. And for those of us old enough to remember the 70s, Firefall is still more or less around.

Good news...I did not know Firefall was still around. Never have seen them but have several of their albums/CDs.

Just barely.

I am a 35 year old US citizen. I have been working overseas for the past few years and married a woman from central asia. We now have a baby girl who was born in the same indiana hospital that I was, and last June my wife took our little girl to her home country to visit family and to begin immigration proceedings for herself and my two stepdaughters. After recieving no help from the US embassy in the country in question, they not only denied visas for my stepdaughters, but also revoked my wife's US visa thereby preventing her from being able to return home with my AMERICAN CHILD(she has her passport, birth certificate, and Social Security number and everything). In my correspondance with my "elected officials" it has been made abundantly clear that they simply do not give a damn. On March 28 I will have missed most of my infant daughter's first year and her first birthday, not to mention the incredible strain this has put on my marriage, so if there is anyone out there who is in the same boat or who knows something I don't, please speak up!!! I'm sick to death of all these freeloading scumbags who do nothing but drive down wages and bring their 3rd world bullcrap into our great nation.
If nothing else then just share this story with others and let them know what happens when you try to abide by the law and excercise your freedoms.

W, I wish I'd known you are a Newsboys fan! My friend and I just made a road trip to see them in Lynchbuurg, VA on Feb 15 (closest they got to Raleigh), and we saw them in Clemson, SC on Oct 11. They are totally awesome!!! If anyone gets a chance to go, they should take it!
