The White House is in the process of transmitting the FISA memo along with an accompanying letter from President Trump to the House Intelligence Committee, according to FOX News.

The memo was released today and without any redactions. You can read it below:
    fisa-memo by breitbartnews on Scribd

According to the Washington Examiner, the memo says:

    The anti-Trump dossier funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal surveillance applications against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page;

    It will also say FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA court without the dossier;

    The political origins of the dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but not included in applications to obtain the warrant;

Justice Department official Bruce Ohr met with dossier author Christopher Steele in the summer of 2016 and told the Justice Department that Steele had told Ohr that Steele was “desperate” that Trump not get elected president.

    This is a developing story.

DOJ Rod Rosenstein said - No warrant would have been issued without the Steele Dossier.

Top law enforcement lied to FISA court.

President Trump told three times not under investigation.

Nellie Ohr Research Was Provided To FBI For FISA Application Source Material…

    February 2, 2018

Like you, I’m going through the HPSCI Memo release FISA and mining some of the more nuanced facts the media will overlook. This one is quite explosive (memo page 3 pdf-pg 4):

    That is a stunning aspect.
Nellie Ohr was hired by Fusion GPS in/around the end of April, beginning of May, 2017. According to the memo, while employed by the Clinton Campaign (via Fusion) to do opposition research on Donald Trump, Nellie Ohr’s findings were delivered directly to the FBI by her husband Bruce Ohr.

Mrs. Nellie Ohr’s findings were not only delivered to the FBI (likely to Peter Strzok) by her husband, DOJ Offical Bruce Ohr, but her findings were used in the FISA Court application and never revealed to the FISA Court.

As such, the Hillary Clinton campaign was funneling opposition research to the FBI through contracted agents of the campaign (Fusion) and their employees (Nellie Ohr).

The FBI then used the Clinton Opposition Research to supplement their ongoing FISA surveillance of Donald Trump campaign officials.

We suspected that was what was happening. We outlined the strong likelihood that was happening. However, yeah, that’s a big deal to see confirmed.

    Review continues…

ps. Where might this go? To the contractor question: Don’t be surprised to discover Nellie Ohr, having a pre-existing relationship with the FBI and CIA, was one of the contractors pointed out within the admonitions of the FISA Court in 2017.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Releases Statement After FISA Abuses Revealed — WH Offers To Help With Dem Counter-Memo!

February 2, 2018 by Joshua Caplan

White House press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders released a statement following the FISA abuse memo’s release. Sanders made clear the decision to release the memo “was made with input from the President’s national security team — including law enforcement officials and members of the intelligence community, for whom the President has great respect.”

“The memorandum raises serious concerns about the integrity of decisions made at the highest levels of the Department of Justice and the FBI to use the government’s most intrusive surveillance tools against American citizens,” the statement says. “This decision was made with input from the president’s national security team—including law enforcement officials and members of the intelligence community, for whom the president has great respect. He is especially grateful to the hardworking rank-and-file public servants who work every day to keep America safe and uphold our laws while protecting the constitutional rights of all Americans. Minority members of the Committee have reportedly drafted a separate memorandum. The Administration stands ready to work with Congress to accommodate oversight requests consistent with applicable standards, including the need to protect intelligence sources and methods.”

Meanwhile, President Trump is none too pleased about the memo.
When asked about the document in the Oval Office Friday, the President responded, “”The memo was sent to Congress. They’re going to do whatever they’re going to do, but it’s a disgrace what’s happening in our country,””

Below is footage of the exchange between Trump and the press on Rosenstein.

In what was a desperate attempt to distract the American people from the imminent release of the “shocking,” FISA abuse report, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) announced House Intelligence Committee Democrats would release a counter-memo.

The California lawmaker claimed House Intelligence Democrats have drafted their own memo “exposing the misleading character of the Republicans’ document so that members of the House are not left with an erroneous impression of the dedicated professionals at the FBI and DOJ.”

When push came to shove, the panel voted against releasing the counter-memo, reported NPR:

But this time, Democrats complain they are being denied their chance to fire back at what they call the cherry-picked version of events in Nunes’ file. House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff told reporters on Monday evening that the majority used another party-line vote to reject his motion to release his secret memo responding to Nunes’ memo.

Finally Released, Memo Shows Widespread Abuse of Government Spying Power, Politicization of Justice Process

    February 2, 2018

    Matthew Boyle

The memo from House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), released finally on Friday after a massive buildup and protracted battle with Democrats and feds who fought its release, demonstrated widespread abuse by senior Department of Justice (DOJ) and law enforcement officials of federal spying capabilities.

It also demonstrates deep politicization inside the Justice Department and FBI, at the highest levels of federal law enforcement, showing a need for serious reforms so that law enforcement can never again abuse their powers for political purposes.

Perhaps the most important revelation, on page 3 of the four-page memo, is that this was all an effort by paid supporters of Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee to abuse the powers of the federal government to prevent a candidate they disliked, now President Donald Trump, from winning a presidential election.

Christopher Steele, the FBI source who was paid by Fusion GPS and law firm Perkins Coie, on behalf of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign to draft the dossier that was used as a basis by the FBI to begin surveillance on Trump associate Carter Page, told a senior Justice Department that he was “desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president.” That was in September 2016.

It was not until later, in October 2016, when the Justice Department knew all of this—and more—that it took Steele’s poorly-sourced dossier to the intelligence court to seek a warrant. And when it sought that warrant, the Justice Department abused its power by not informing the court that it knew all of this information and more.

Complicating matters even more is the fact that the wife of the senior DOJ official who Steele said that to was working for Fusion GPS as well at the time. Then-associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, who the memo says is a “senior DOJ official who worked closely with Deputy Attorneys General [Sally] Yates and later [Rod] Rosenstein.” In other words, the highest levels of the Justice Department including the man currently responsible for overseeing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation—Rod Rosenstein—are personally conflicted in this matter.

“Shortly after the election, the FBI began interviewing Ohr, documenting his communications with Steele,” the memo says, before noting how Steele told him he was “desperate” to stop Trump from winning the election in September 2016.

“This clear evidence of Steele’s bias was recorded by Ohr at the time and subsequently in official FBI files,” the memo notes, adding that the Department of Justice and FBI did not include the Steele bias “in any of the [Carter] Page FISA applications.”

“During this same time period, Ohr’s wife was employed by Fusion GPS to assist in the cultivation of opposition research on Trump,” the memo adds. “Ohr later provided the FBI with all of his wife’s opposition research, paid for by the DNC and Clinton campaign via Fusion GPS. The Ohrs’ relationship with Steele and Fusion GPS was inexplicably concealed from the FISC.”

With all of that information in mind, including the fact that the origins of all of this were paid for by biased operatives working with shoddy-at-best information on behalf of the Clinton presidential campaign and Democratic Party, the FBI and DOJ moved forward to seek and receive a court order obtained by misleading the court through omission allowing them to spy on an American citizen who was a volunteer adviser to the Trump campaign—and they did all of this in late October 2016, just days before a presidential election.
“On October 21, 2016, DOJ and FBI sought and received a FISA probable cause order (not under Title VII) authorizing electronic surveillance on Carter Page from the FISC,” the memo reads. “Page is a U.S. citizen who served as a volunteer advisor to the Trump presidential campaign.”

The memo notes that the FBI received four total warrants allowing surveillance of Page for 90 days apiece. The law requires the government to go back to the court with renewed evidence of probable cause every 90 days when engaging in surveillance of an American citizen. The first time this was granted, per the memo, was right before the election in October 2016 but three subsequent follow-ups were granted over the next 360 days by senior DOJ and FBI officials.

“Consistent with requirements under FISA, the application had to first be certified by the Director or Deputy Director of the FBI,” the memo reads. “It then required approval of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General (DAG), or the Senate-confirmed Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division. The FBI and DOJ obtained one initial FISA warrant targeting Carter Page and three FISA renewals from the FISC. As required by statute (50 U.S.C. §1805 (d)(1)), a FISA order on an American citizen must be renewed by the FISC every 90 days and each renewal requires a separate finding of probable cause.”

The memo then names the FBI and DOJ officials who signed these documents to get warrants that were granted, again, all because a biased person pushing misinformation working on behalf of the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton presidential campaign didn’t want Donald Trump to win the election.

“Then-Director James Comey signed three FISA applications in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one,” the memo says. “Then-DAG Sally Yates, then acting DAG Dana Boente, and DAG Rod Rosenstein each signed one or more FISA applications on behalf of DOJ.”

Of the officials involved in signing these documents only two remain in senior DOJ positions: Boente and Rosenstein. Both of them remain at the DOJ, but Comey, McCabe, and Yates are all gone.

Congressional Dems Warn Trump Against Firing Rosenstein

    February 2, 2018

Democrats from the House and Senate sent a letter to President Donald Trump on Friday warning him against using the recently released Republican memo as a "pretext" to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein or Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"Firing Rod Rosenstein, DOJ (Department of Justice) leadership, or Bob Mueller could result in a constitutional crisis of the kind not seen since the Saturday night massacre," the Democrats wrote, referring to President Richard Nixon's firing of the Watergate scandal special prosecutor in the 1970s.

James Comey Signed FISA Applications Utilizing Same Dossier He Publically Called ‘Salacious and Unverified’

    February 2, 2018

    Aaron Klein

A four-page House Intelligence Committee memo alleging abuse of surveillance authority raises immediate questions about former FBI Director James Comey’s role in utilizing the infamous, largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier to obtain a FISA court warrant to monitor an individual associated with Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

One glaring possible inconsistency centers on Comey’s June 8, 2017 prepared remarks for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, where he referred to the anti-Trump dossier as containing “salacious and unverified” material.

Yet, according to the memo crafted by House Republicans, Comey personally signed three FISA court applications utilizing that same dossier that he labeled “salacious and unverified” eight months later to obtain FISA court warrants to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, who briefly served as a volunteer foreign policy adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The memo documents that on October 21, 2016, the FBI and Justice Department sought and received the FISA order against Page, and that the agencies sought the renewal of the order every 90 days in accordance with court requirements. Renewals require separate finding of probable cause each time, the memo relates.

According to the memo, Comey “signed three FISA applications in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one.” Sally Yates, then-Acting Deputy Attorney Gernal Dana Boente, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein signed one or more of the applications on behalf of the Justice Department.
The memo relates the FBI utilized the anti-Trump dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele as evidence against Page in order to obtain the FISA warrant.

However, according to the memo, the FBI and DOJ failed to inform the FISA court of the following:

    • That Steele’s Dossier was reportedly funded by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) via the Perkins Coie law firm. “Neither the initial application in October 2016, nor any of the renewals, disclose or reference the role of the DNC, Clinton campaign, or any party/campaign in funding Steele’s efforts, even though the political origins of the Steele dossier were then known to senior and FBI officials,” the memo states.
    • That the initial application notes Steele worked for a “named U.S. person” but does not name the controversial firm Fusion GPS or its founder Glenn Simpson.
    • That Steele reportedly met with Yahoo News at the direction of Fusion GPS. A Yahoo News article about an alleged trip by Page to Moscow was cited in the FISA warrant, according to the memo.

After he allegedly signed three FISA applications based on Steele’s dossier, Comey publically referred to Steele’s work as “salacious and unverified.”

In Comey’s June 8, 2017 prepared remarks for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the former FBI chief says that following a January 6 Oval Office meeting with Intelligence Community leaders, Comey “remained alone with the President Elect to brief him on some personally sensitive aspects of the information assembled during the assessment.”’

It is clear Comey was referring to the dossier since he writes the “salacious and unverified” material was about to be publically reported by the news media.

    He writes:

The IC leadership thought it important, for a variety of reasons, to alert the incoming President to the existence of this material, even though it was salacious and unverified. Among those reasons were: (1) we knew the media was about to publicly report the material and we believed the IC should not keep knowledge of the material and its imminent release from the President-Elect; and (2) to the extent there was some effort to compromise an incoming President, we could blunt any such effort with a defensive briefing.

Four days after that briefing, the dossier was published by BuzzFeed.

Also, in his statement summarizing his conversation with Trump, Comey refers to Russian prostitutes, a key component of the dossier:

He said he had nothing to do with Russia, had not been involved with hookers in Russia, and had always assumed he was being recorded when in Russia.

In a private White House dinner with Trump on January 27, Comey says the topic of the “salacious material” again came up and he reveals that Trump was considering asking the FBI to investigate the origins of the claims. Comey pushed back against that idea.

    Comey writes:

During the dinner, the President returned to the salacious material I had briefed him about on January 6, and, as he had done previously, expressed his disgust for the allegations and strongly denied them. He said he was considering ordering me to investigate the alleged incident to prove it didn’t happen. I replied that he should give that careful thought because it might create a narrative that we were investigating him personally, which we weren’t, and because it was very difficult to prove a negative. He said he would think about it and asked me to think about it.

Meanwhile, despite his role in signing three FISA applications based on a largely debunked dossier that he himself referred to as “unverified,” Comey on Friday took to Twitter to claim the memo’s release “destroyed trust” with the Intelligence community.

    James Comey

    @Comey

That’s it? Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen. For what? DOJ & FBI must keep doing their jobs.

Julian Assange Moves in With Kill Shot After Comey Mocks FISA Memo

February 2, 2018 by Cristina Laila

Media was set ablaze after the House Intelligence Committee releasedtheir classified FISA memo on Friday morning.

The unclassified memo shows former FBI Director James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Yates and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein misled the FISA court.

James Comey is unhinged. The fired FBI Director unleashed an angry tweetshortly after the FISA memo was released to the public exposing the FBI’s corruption. Comey also tried to downplay the FISA memo saying, “That’s it?”

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange moved in with a kill shot.

On Friday, Comey tweeted, “That’s it? Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen. For what? DOJ & FBI must keep doing their jobs.”
    Julian Assange destroyed Comey.

Assange tweeted, “James Comey, master of logic: FISA memo is nothing — and also the destroyer of worlds.”

Comey’s schizophrenic tweet tells us everything we need to know. The Dems and Deep State wish the FISA memo was a nothingburger. In their efforts to attack the damning memo, they downplay the content while simultaneously attacking the messenger for ‘exposing a classified investigation’.

Ranking member of the House Intel Committee Rep. Adam Schiff does the same thing. He claims the memo is misleading and full of factual errors while simultaneously claiming the document will lead to a Constitutional crisis.
